God I've been thinking about 2020 so much. I really messed up but I've been trying not to break my back about it to hard.

Here's my portfolio back in 2020 -

During Covid I lost a great portion of value in my portfolio. It hurt seeing all the red so as soon as bitcoin went to 10,500 and I was in profit a bit I sold my position and moved everything to the stock market. Sold 1.6 Bitcoin 20 ethereum and the 10k BAT. Well that bull run went right over my head!

Anyways after much much regret I waited for the bull run to end and now this is my new portfolio which costed me around 30 grand I have to calculate later.



I missed my opportunity to become a cycle holder but this time I wont fuck around.  In 2018 a price of 20k for a bitcoin was an insane valuation. Now it's 2022 and a 20k Bitcoin is considered a bear market and bitcoin is supposedly going to zero? In 2024-2025 will 70k for 1 bitcoin be considered a bear market? Anyways just wanted to share with you guys my blunder because I need to get it off my chest that I sold all that BTC and Ethereum and I feel regret and I know I shouldn't because that was my decision at the time and I felt ok about it.

Yes. Because BTC can hit $200k in 2024 so when it drops to $70k, people will panic. The vast perception is very skewed because a lot of the investors are young and believe that holding for 6 months is a long-time and they expect 10x gains in that period.

It takes some experience, wisdom and age to understand that waiting 5 years is nothing and that 10-15 years is even better.

I assume SIM-1169085 knows now to Buy BTC, hold, and STFU.

Also that BSV thread it looks like he bought at $80-$90 based on the post timestamp. BSV did peak at $490, unsure if he sold, but now BSV is $51. Against BTC in Oct 2019 the price was about 8k. So he would still even now have a 250% profit. That's what people continue to miss. That BTC is the gold standard of long-term investing and that any 5 year hold of BTC results in 50x returns.

Well, when the fork happened, I immediately sold the BCH I had. Same thing when BSV came along. I had no interest in the forks. And the people who do hold BSV or BCH because of the fork really only do so because it's how that works, it's not a choice. They didn't choose to get BCH. They didn't buy the BCH.
