Sneaker Resellers/Collectors/Flippers

Any on here? Post your collections/stories below 😁
I’ve never personally collected any sneakers, but I’m a big fan of collecting things in general and I fuck with a good looking shoe.

Excited to see what kinda collections folk have on here.

Hm.. I wonder, can we sell physical items on here?

If so I may throw up a listing here as well. (Currently listed on eBay/offerup/etc.)

Hmm I don’t recall there being any restrictions on physical items? But I definitely might be wrong. There might not necessarily be a large amount of people wanting to buy on here, but could be worth a shot

Oh shit those are clean as fuck. How much were they?

Bought in like-new condition off OfferUp for $60; worth $216 insta sell on StockX (new) (https://stockx.com/nike-air-foamposite-o...-backboard)

Can likely flip them for $120~.

They're fun to collect and with time being DS they only really go up for like-new/new. If you enjoy collecting it's something fun to get into, you can go to retail stores i.e Marshalls and get some pair under StockX insta sell price new in box. Note they do charge a 8-13% fee, I tend to list them on eBay/OfferUp for my lower tier pairs (sub $300) and send to StockX/Goat for listing (not instasell) for higher tier as they authenticate.

I mainly just collected prior but looking into botting/etc on drops now after seeing some Yeezy Day success from friends.

Wow okay thats a good fucking deal. Hmm maybe I should look into flipping some sneakers, though id have to look a lot more into the market.

Right now I'm mostly collecting pokemon cards lmao. Could start flipping them too since I know the market fairly well and its quite popular.

StockX has a full market tracker (size specific) that you can follow; example Spoiler (Click to View)

It's a relatively simple and easy market to get into, botting is overwhelming at first and costly though.
I've always been interested in this business. I'm not a sneakerhead so I feel like I would buy some fake ones and screw myself over. It does sound lucrative!

There's plenty of ways to flip, two most common being retail and botting which has practically 0 chance of getting fakes. If you're looking to hold as an investment or purchase for your own wear StockX/Goat are also authenticated and you can set buy orders @ $1 above the previous.

If you're going in person to a meetup off OfferUp/FB Marketplace you can look up a fakecheck guide for your specific pair, I only really found used to be worth my time as new are other resellers with a markup or fakes.

^ I would also be scared I wouldn't know enough about looks to tell if one is real or fake.

I'd hate to start getting into the market and then buy some fakes and get fucked off the jump

Thanks for the tips! It's much appreciated. I would be looking at retail I think since I want to spend physical cash. I doubt I would be wearing any I'd like to keep it strictly business if I do get involved. I didn't know they have fakecheck guides. I'll look into that! I can see how used is better due to those points. Thanks again!

My above response should clear up some of the replica doubts

For retail flipping make sure they are either a really good price used (depends on condition, Goat has a used marketplace which you can lookup each shoe on, try to get at least 50% off from the cheapest pair of similar condition) or new. New in box allows you to insta sell on StockX, simple as shipping them the shoe and being authenticated. You get paid once they're confirmed legit not once the buyer gets them or is 'satisfied' unlike other marketplaces (eBay/local).
Sneakerheads/hypebeasts are usually the most cringe people to exist.

I personally don't collect sneakers, the only thing I used to collect was like hockey cards and hot wheels lol.

I just like collecting/flipping, not in it for personal use to go out in my "$20,000 fit". 🤣
