How You Could Have Seen This Mini-Dump Coming

Spoiler (Click to View)

BTC has been ranging a little bit lately. Volume is still relatively low while prices were getting higher - a bearish divergence. The RSI-14 day was showing lower highs, although the price was making higher highs, signalling that the buying volume was weakening.

The short-term range was established, and the second high in the picture shows a deviation which lead to a sharp drop. With no significant volume on the next rally, a range deviation or pivot was to be expected on the following rally.

The blue bars on the right represent a volume profile that shows us the significance of different price points. This marks an area of interest where traders can see support/resistance levels establish themselves.

This pattern has been playing out repeatedly. Make sure to take profits when the trend weakens, and then reevaluate.

If you want more charts like this let me know, I've been trading for a while and have not lost a single trade in the bear market.

Happy trading folks! If you're interested in learning more about trading I would be happy to answer any of your questions✌

I'm curious about the type of trading you do. Is it daily buy low and sell high or just buy, hold, look for patterns...sell?

What type of profit are you making on these types of TA?

Great question.

Buy, hold, look for weakening trends and sell (I sell depending on how strong the indication is). For this one I profited about 2k USD in about a month, but I had only put in 4k so it's quite the return. I remove 70% as I see the RSI make lower highs.

Some patterns play out more than usual. Pivots like these range deviations happen a lot in bear markets, and I've been taking full advantage.

I'd say anywhere from 2k USD per trade on the low-end. I haven't been risking that much because of the constant FUD that's been coming out.

I add about 15% of my position as we break down to key levels, and load up quick when the divergence points in the bulls favor.
