I honestly can't wait for this to drop, I used to play D.A.H back when I was a kid and I absolutely loved it.

Over it or not, if someone makes a great game even better, I'm happy to support them!
The second installment is definitely a lot better than the first one, and also much longer. The original game was made in 2006. That's a long time ago! I bet some people who are reading this weren't even born yet when it first dropped, which makes me feel old.

For anyone who's feeling nostalgic, here's some original gameplay:

I never played it when it was released so I’ll probably give it a go, gives me something to waste time in until sons of forest comes out

man what nostalgia i loved destroy all humans
Never played the first one but this looks interesting enough to buy.
I remember this game back on the OG xbox, used to play it as a kid. Played the 2020 remake on my xbox for a bit other month as well, probably will play this too if its in game pass.
What I'm curious to find out is whether or not it will run well on Linux using Proton. I absolutely plan to find out on release day and have a Windows partition all set up specifically for this game in case proton isn't enough.

How’s Linux in general for gaming? I remember years ago there wasn’t much support, although I don’t have any use to run Linux.

Off topic I bought one of the emulator boxes this week has like 16000 games of all the old games on it. Been playing super Mario non stop lol

Honestly? I can't complain. All my favorite games run pretty well on Linux. Crusader Kings? Works like a charm since it's native. Cities: Skylines? Same thing, works native on Linux.
Especially now with the release of the Steam Deck I could even play Marvel's Spider-Man on Linux using Proton the day it came out. I don't particularly notice any stuttering or frame rate issues but then again I do run a beefy dev machine with 64 gigs of ram and an AMD RX 6900 XT so I might not be the best person to ask.

Congrats with your purchase by the way, those things are awesome. Fuck Nintendo and selling age-old games for full price. Feel free to let us know which one you bought!

It was mainly bought for my girlfriend cause she wanted to play Mario, I have a computer that’s pretty beefy as well.

EXTREME MINI GAME BOX https://a.co/d/dXa0gRI

That’s what I got, it was for sale at my states fair? It’s not honestly the greatest, the Bluetooth receiver you have to be close to, but just the ease of turning it on and not having to mess with anything is nice. I’d recommend it for anyone who just wanted something for someone not to tech savvy, otherwise your better off just making your own or using a p/c
Never played this game before but seems like a fun game
Almost go-time my friends. Tomorrow's the day!
