Kali Linux Install - Help

Trying to install the live version of Kali Linux, I get to the installer menu and I click graphical install and this pops up and goes black, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve also just tried it with ParrotOS too and same thing came up!
Are you following these documents word for word? https://www.kali.org/docs/usb/live-usb-i...ith-linux/

What You’ll Need
  • A verified copy of the appropriate ISO image of the latest Kali build image for the system you’ll be running it on: see the details on downloading official Kali Linux images.

  • If you’re running under Linux, you can use the dd command, which is pre-installed, or use Etcher.

  • A USB thumb drive, 4GB or larger. (Systems with a direct SD card slot can use an SD card with similar capacity. The procedure is identical.)

I’m trying to do a live install from Windows system, I got the iso image from the kali linux site.

I use Etcher every time when making a bootable image.

My usb is a Toshiba 1TB drive. I’ve also tried on two other usbs and the same things happens.

Note, after all that comes up, a black screen hangs around until I have to restart my computer.

Per one of your errors about SGX

https://finddiffer.com/should-sgx-be-enabled-in-bios/

On some BIOS screens you might also have to allow 'CSM' or a Legacy boot option

Make sure you are using the right 64 bit or 32 bit per your machine

I’ve also enabled SGX and it still says it’s disabled. Very confusing and frustrating.

I edited my previous convo, feel free to PM me ill try and help you.

First, try to disable tmp security on bios option. then you can see the message like this.

/dev/sda2: recovering journal
welcome to emergency mode! After logging in, type "journalctl -xb" to view
system logs, "systemctl reboot" to reboot, "systemctl default" or ^D to
try against to boot into default mode.
Give root password for maintenance
(or press Control-D to continue):

The message was decreased.

Second, press your root password on this screen. You can login root. And then

root@blahblah: vi /etc/fstab

Remove the line of sda2 and save.

Third, reboot!

OP maybe is not related to your situation but i had an issue installing Linux in one of my laptops. I wouldn't install. My problem was the usb port i was using to boot. Tried another usb slot and it worked like a charn. Hope you resolve your issue.

Hmmm, I didn’t think of that but that could be it, I will try that tomorrow and post here! Thank you for the idea.
