ETH is run by 3509 pruned nodes, 1783 of them run on amazon web servers so idk how you even mention the word decentralization here.
Vitalik misled people by renaming pruned nodes to full nodes. The real full nodes are the archive nodes and they run basically the whole network. The pruned aka full nodes are forced to get blocks' data from the archive nodes, they basically have to trust them.
The pruned nodes aka full nodes store only 128 blocks worth of data.
What is
very interesting is that you cannot find the number of archive nodes, anywhere. I doubt that there are more than 100 archive nodes worldwide. These nodes will defend ETH hard fork if something happens to the 129th block and backwards.
ETH is so centralized that is required 1.5k$ setup to run and full node + 200$ per year for new storage since 3TB are added to the blockchain size every year.
All the archive nodes are run by Vitalik and his friends (companies who are on the top of the list of this pyramid). Nowadays, Vitalik and his boyfriends are mentioning everywhere that ETH has 500,000 validators so people think that it's decentralized. He didn't mention though that a 8-core pc with 32 GB ram can run 1000 of these validators and they are only passive listeners, they are useless and clueless about what's happening to the blockchain.
Opt out, understand and study Bitcoin.
