I imagine aliens as invisible particles infinitely smaller than a human being, they have detached themselves from biological life as we know it. These are self-sufficient and function thanks to electrical impulses in their bodies which provide them with a capacity for reasoning and calculation enormously greater than that of humans. Obviously these organisms have detached themselves from both animal and plant life, as they are fragile and susceptible to disease and damage.
