I could answer: If the VM does it's job properly you should expect a seamless experience. However, I am not able to answer your specific question because it would be impossible and dishonest to guarantee an "authentic" real-system experience for every possible configuration of Windows Server Edition under the sun, for example. I can only stand by my previous answer, which is that it depends on the environment. DV has since its inception been deployed in various contexts, but is of course first and foremost aimed at and tested on real systems, anything else would be backwards. Regardless, any capable/competent person who insists on cramming a VM (or something else) between the bot and the client should be able to do so without any problems.
