Questions about Pureminer Setup

Hi guys,

i have some questions about pureminer setup please
excuse me in advance if my questions sounds stupid to you...

1) I understood that we install and use it in a vps, however why not simply to install it on my own pc with a vpn with a static ip + port forwarding? it's the same thing no?

2) Concerning the port forwarding, I note that once the plugins are automatically downloaded, in the "build" section I have 3 ports listening 3XXX1,3XXX2 & 3XXX3; I guess the port forwarding must be done on these 3 ports, do we agree?

3) In the case where pureminer is used on a vps + static ip + portforwarding; does that mean i don't need vpn?

4) Last question, does pureminer software have to be open for miners to be active? So that explained why we need to install it on a vps? (instead of leaving turn on a pc all time)

Thanks for your suggested answers! ✌
Do you really want to run a botnet without VPN? lmao.

Thanks for this useful answer...
Dude I have some questions and I need to understand lot of things before use this software,

if you are a genius tell me the difference between:

1) bulletproof VPS + static ip + porforwarding
2) Vpn no log + static ip + portforwarding

This is the goal of my thread... but ofc you haven't read everything and you denigrate me (like all your reply in this forum...)

Anyway good luck...

Use your brain, there is no VPS or VPN question, whenever you run a botnet, you use both unless you wanna feel how a jail cell feels like.
Do you want to perform illegal activity without using a VPN? This is beyond my understanding... I truly wonder how your brain works.

Some people don't care about their own freedom, because they are too cheap to pay 20$ for a proper VPN. If that is the case, you should not be running botnets, go work outside.
You should not find it as a hateful comment, I literary am trying to help you understand the fact that you are risking your life.

Unless you live in russia, you can get fucked by the feds.

Well for one any vpn provider will terminate your account for a lot of unusual activity, they are not meant to host botnets.
Any "bulletproof vps" sold on here is not actually bulletproof and they will change your ip if your traffic gets 2 big and you will lose all of your bots
Host your malware on a VPS. Connect to your VPS through a VPN.

Come on men, its obvious for security reason we need to hide our ip but i just need to know if technically about the porforwarding, (vps+static) vs (vpn+static ip) its the same thing?

but that mean the "correct" settings to be safety are:

my real ip => vpn (static or dynamic ip?) => vps (i suppose static ip + portforwarding) => pureminer?

anyway you are taking your time to answer me and I appreciate that.

thanks

@osn64698, @odinsmokesbowls, @Sand Ferret

thanks guys (or girls) for your answers,

I understand better now

Decent settings are host machine(real ip) > mullvad> vm> mullvad>rdp.
Your vps ip is static and you dont need to open ports manually just set rules in windows firewall
this helped me a lot, thanks odinsmokesbowls

1. You could do that but its not recommended. Its better to run it on a server so it would be online 24/7. It also gives you an illusion of being anonymous.

2. Yes, but you can use what ever ports as long as they are not used by other application. You can also just add forwarding rules in windows firewall.

3. You should use VPN to connect to your server.

4. Nope, it doesn't need to be online 24/7, but it would need to be up and running to send tasks to new clients.
