When i watched American movies about high school the bully is always over the top. I always see the trope of kids getting their heads flushed in toilets and getting wedgies. Does this weird shit really happen? At my Highschool we never had that. The bullying was always just verbal.
Is bullying that bad in america |

Man, my soon to be Mother-In-Law took her niece and nephew (18 Months and 3 years) to the library, and some little shit kids decided to bully the almost 2 year old into giving up the toys she was playing with.
My future MIL did say something, but still, who let these mean little crotch goblins out in the wild? (Sep 18, 2023 03:44 PM)phantomman55 Wrote: Yes, in ghetto and major cities this happens a lot. In my personal experience, bullying seems to be the worst in middle school and seems to die off in high school. Also depends on what kind of school you go to and how you fit in.
Example, if you're a preppy white hockey kid going to private catholic School you'll probably experience minimal bullying. You're a white kid at an inner city school? You'll probably get bullied everyday. Are you a shy fragile kid going to a inner city school? Probably get bullied. As anything in life, people like to prey on the weak especially when they're in numbers. "Pack mentality." I seen worse bullying in rural American schools then any “ghetto” city school I went to. I also found out rural sophomore classes were freshman classes where I came from lol. Small towns usually have more ruthless cliques of friends than bigger cities or even ghetto ones.. Ghetto areas have more diversifying factors that doesn't foster the same enviornment to clique up like a rural town. ![]() "Clarity is the counterbalance of profound thoughts." It really depends on the school. I've never seen anyone get a swirly or wedgie though. Usually, a very small group would meet outside a few blocks away from the school and fight it out. Win or lose, just don't be a bitch and you'll be respected for having heart.
