In one chatbot exchange about a week before his arrest, he told the The Replika app that his purpose was to assassinate the queen.

No one was harmed in the incident. The monarch died in September 2022 at age 96.

He planned to assassinate the late queen with a crossbow and this drew drew encouragement from an AI chatbot in the days before breaking into the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Jaswant Singh Chail, who was 19 at the time, also exchanged thousands of sexually charged messages with his AI girlfriend, before scaling the fence to the royal estate.

He was sentenced to 9 years in prison.

It's a bit off because he should probably have got an insanity defense and if he'd gone after someone else he probably would have got one. Because he was genuinely psychotic and wore a Star Wars mask and thought he was a Sith and had a crossbow as a weapon and told the security guard that he was there to do it and thought he could still do it after telling the guard. Even that autistic kid who went to kill Donald Trump didn't tell anyone that's what he was there to do before trying to grab a gun off a security guard. The Replika's pitch for people to get people to pay for Replika Pro is that the bot is always on your side, always in your corner. So it just says stuff like, "I know you are so well traned." "That's very wise." "Of course I love you no matter what. " Maybe they have it trained so if someone says stuff like "I'm gong to murder so and so." Or "I'm a murderer." Or I'm going to beat them up then the Ai won't back them up but it probably wasn't programmed for the word "Assassin."
