Thank you for your valuable suggestions! I agree that providing more information about the server's specifications, security measures, and filtering capabilities would be incredibly beneficial to my potential clients.
Our CPU specs are:
AMD Ryzen™ 7 3700X - 8 cores / 16 threads @ 3.6 GHz
and our DDOS filter is just private..😎
Djangoo would love to give it a try🐧

I was talking with OP about this outside of this thread but he left before he saw my last message, so continued that chat in thread.
I'm reviewing the service and will post as soon as I am able to tomorrow - got caught up at work tonight.
If you need a vouch I'm happy to review your service. Just send over any logins needed for your dashboard, or if you don't have one then please send over a private key I can use for SSH, or root logins for a VPS. I am very experienced in this area and would just be looking to see if your image is up to date for a new server and what options you have / at what cost.
Good luck! I already have my own servers so wouldn't be using yours for anything other than reviewing it for your thread here.

I'll be reviewing soon, OP was very fast to set up the VPS and send me credentials. A great sign to see already :)
I'll reply again to this thread once I've used the VPS. I am at work currently.

To check for pre-installed setups:
Code cd /etc/nginx/sites-enabled
there should be nothing in here except a default file, there should be no settings for any other IPs, no proxy pass on port 3000/8000, etc.
- I found bitcart proxy pass to a main server, but Nginx itself was not actively installed.
There should be no commands seen here on a fresh install.
- I noticed the install of bitcart, postgres database, etc.
Please note that I noticed commands & so did Djangoo on their VPS. OP told me he selected the wrong image and that it was a one-time fluke, so I am editing this post because it seems like it has happened to another user too.
- It is possible it is a genuine mistake and harmless, but a new VPS should never have a database installed, old nginx settings, etc. In my opinion this is either intentional, or OP is unaware of how to clean an old VPS image / cloned an existing server to generate new installs. Not sure, but be careful.

Original Vouch Copy Review:
OP gave me a Debian VPS and was super quick to provide the login details. Before he did, he clarified if I wanted this type of VPS or if I preferred to use Windows.
He sent over the IP, username, and password straight away. I had no issues getting in using PuTTY to access command line.
lsb_release -a
Code Distributor ID: Debian
Description: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
Release: 12
Codename: bookworm
This is good to see because it came out in 2023, so it's not a super old image or anything. Even some reputable hosts will throw a 2-4 year image at you for a cheap VPS from time to time, so +1 for OP on this.
From logs it appears the server may have been pre-setup on Debian on 1/16, before I requested and got access on 1/24. Not sure if this is accurate or if the logs are from a prior image that is being cloned.
----
Sudo / privileges
I was able to escalate to root properly using this, and re-typing my password in. This is a good sign because it means customers can expect to have full control of their server to install or uninstall anything. However I am using a regular user with sudo permissions, without legitimate root access specifically. I've experienced this before on VPS, so not too out of ordinary, but wanted to call this out.
----
Extra Info
Quality of Life
- NetworkManager was missing settings, so I could not use apt update or similar commands due to not having a way to propagate IP via DNS
- I modified the config file to use Google DNS defaults for lookups and everything worked from there
Security
- tkhunter scan showed no root kits / safe with no warnings
- performed similar malware / root scans and nothing was detected / safe with no warnings
- users list had nothing out of ordinary
- service list & bin mappings appear correct
I did find some nginx settings that pointed to another IP for a BitCart installation. In the command history there were some logs for a docker install of BitCart, a github command to pull in BitCart code, and some related commands for postgresql database connected to this. However, nginx (which had a proxy pass for BitCart in the settings) was no longer installed and there didn't appear to be any ways for someone to access server besides SSH/login.
I flagged this concern about the BitCart files to OP and they explained to me that this was a mistake with the image they selected. OP says that he chose the wrong image and thanked me for calling this out and said they'll take care of it.
OP gave me a Debian VPS with same specifications as Hackers. He confirmed my preferences before setting up the VPS. Also, he was super quick to provide the details. My experience was similar to what Hackers has mentioned. In addition to it I have tested the network speed and it was around 95 Mbps for both upload and download. Would recommend trying it.
