You cannot. CCTV is 'closed-circuit TV.' As a closed circuit, you would have to use a splitter or strip the jackets on the cables and tap the exposed wires. You could then run your cables to some kind of encoder or DVR.

Hi,

I'm assuming you're talking about IP cameras. I made a thread about this: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6095729 The repository mentioned in the post hasn't been updated in 2 years so I'm not sure about compatibility with latest Linux packages. You might have to regress to a previous distro version's sources list

If it's wired, one-way Ettercap https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ettercap_(software) is known to shut off internet connectivity, so that might be an alternative.

Have fun!

Smile for the camera!
CCTV systems are critical for monitoring purposes and can be used to prevent criminal activity. It's great you are interested in learning how to hack. Why not take these skills and become a white hat hacker instead. Put your skills to a good legal use, and who knows, you could be testing and monitoring these systems one day in the future!
Please note: This is not a crime reporting channel, to report a crime contact your local police force. If you are in the UK you can report fraud and cyber crime at Action Fraud UK.
