The fact that they're more of a newer member is the best part imo, 100%. An influx of newer members that are actually of decent quality and provide some solid activity is what HF needs a lot more of.

As I was saying on another thread, I've joined many forums over the years, but majority of them i never remained active on. Usually go there to get what I'm getting, and typically don't return. I like the community here, and actually a bit sad to see that it's not as active as it could be. This place feels like it has so much potential, and yeah while I might of missed the golden years, that's not to say things can't be turned back around. I would love to see what this place has in store in the future, and hope some good ideas are being stirred up on how to get it back to it's old glory!

They say you gotta look for the positive in every situation, despite how negative it may be. So rather then pay attention to the lack of activity, I think I'm more intrigued by the fact I'm finding something new everyday since I've been here. There was a whole section of menus I never knew existed, with a whole subsection to that section. Lol. Can you imagine how stoked I was to find that? This place is a gem, just needs a little reviving.

As the title says, this is my 500th post on the forum, and man I must say, it's a nice feeling. It's not an award but a good feeling nonetheless. Tbh, I haven't really been focused on my post count, and more focused on attempting to make my posts quality. I tend type alot when I have something to say, which also leads to long ass paragraphs, that sometimes I may go back and break down into separate paragraphs.

Anyway, goal of this post wasn't to talk about my run on sentences, it was to highlight my 500th post and my feeling like I'm finally starting to break ground. Have met some pretty cool people on here, some more talkative then others.. but for the most part, all good interactions. I'm glad that I decided to actually take this forum serious and not as just another forum on the net.

Thanks for all that have given a warm welcome or courteous in one way or another. You're the ones that make this forum what it is today. When you first get on a forum, your first interactions can make a big difference on whether you choose to stay, or head on back to the next search result!

Same on my end. It's a huge way out for me as well, but it would be cool to get to like 10k posts at least by the end of the year. I know that's still a long way from 24k, but 10k is a great milestone in itself honestly.

Yeah, I agree with that one. I feel like it's 100% do-able. My 7k+ posts were completed over a span of 10 years, but I've probably taken 3 ish years of breaks and it's not every day that I make a post.

I'm trying right now to do at least a few post each day.

I'd say at least half of my posts are from just the past couple of years and even throughout those I never consistently went out of my way to be active. It's mainly been a chunk of posts during X amount of time like Octoberfest for instance. I'm hoping to knock out a good amount of posts throughout this month.

Yeah same as well. I still have 950 posts that I made in a group YEARS ago (Brotherhood) and it makes up a large chunk of my post count lol. Things like the October fest also contributed a good bit of posts to it as well.
