I lost my mother many years ago due to cancer. So I can't celebrate Mother's Day. 😥
Those who have their mothers in their lives are the lucky ones, so please make sure to say "I love You" to your mother.
Those of you whose mothers are no longer, tell us how you lost her. This won't bring her back, but at least it may alleviate some of your emotional pain.

My mother passed away in the early 2000s when I was still a young boy. When Mother's day comes around, I mainly just wish my sister and my aunts happy mothers day, and say a pray for my mother. It was much harder to accept and deal with when I was young, now that I'm older I'm able to cope.
How did she pass? From a rare lung disease, and she wasn't a smoker. Actually had never smoked in her life. It is what it is.

Sorry to hear that both your mothers passed away too early.
Im glad I still have my mother but we don’t really celebrate it! I think it may just be an Asian thing where we don’t.
Thank you for the +rep / QL etc but I do not return these just because you have given them to me unless stated otherwise.

You don't have to "celebrate it" just give her hug, buy her some gift, give her a flower, just give her a damn smile. You can get 100 girlfriends, but you can Not replace a mother

Thanks fellas. Prayers out for both of your mothers whether they're with us still or not.
Sorry you don't have your mom bro. Maybe try to spend the day doing something to memorialize her? The day doesn't have to be sad if you don't want it to be. You have friends here brother, reach out if you need to talk to any of us!
Sorry to hear about how OP and the others who are motherless here are. We still can celebrate Mother's day after all, they will always live in our hearts forever.

It makes me depress whenever I think about her 😭

You can always celebrate the impact your mother made in your life. You don't have to have her here to do that. I celebrate my mom's birthday every year and she's been gone since 2002.

I hope you get well soon, don't forget to tell her how much you love her, it will make her feel loved. We often take our parents for granted

It hasn't quite been a year, but I lost my mom to cancer, too. I hope you are doing okay today.
It is a harsh reality.
Moms are such angels...

I disagree.
You will always have a mother, take her piciture (if you have one) and bring it do dinner and sit it in front of you. We did that with my mothers mother last year.
Nothing wrong with it. Go buy her favorite flowers and keep them with you too, physical touch does not always mean someone cant be celebrated. Death is not the end of anything unless you allow it.
Blessing buddy.
