i want to start coding, where should i start and how?

ive been thinking about trying some coding and possible making programs or i dont even know just looking for some recomendations on how i should go about trying to do this
I'd say Java, you can run Java on so much and it's just a great language to learn in my opinion.

There are tons of books about it, probably some free eBooks too - just poke around.

My second suggestion would be C# but you might not be a fan of the .NET framework.

You may have the JRE (java runtime environment) to run things, but you need to download the JDK (java development kit) to well.. develop. After that, choose an IDE, I suggest Eclipse, other options are IntelliJ and Netbeans. Pick up a good book on java and just start typing away, that's the best way to learn for most.
Codecademy is a good site.

Start with Python, Then Javascript, Then Java, Then VB.Net, Then C, Then whatever
Back-end/Server-side Programmer: Usually uses one of the following: Python, Ruby, PHP, Java or .Net. Has database knowledge. Possibly has some sysadmin knowledge.
Front-end/Client-side Programmer: HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Possibly has design skill.
Mobile Programmer: Objective-C (or Swift) or Java (for Android). HTML/CSS for mobile websites. Potentially has server-side knowledge.
3D Programmer/Game Programmer: C/C++, OpenGL, Animation. Possibly has good artistic skill.
High-Performance Programmer: C/C++, Java. May have background in mathematics or quantitative analysis.

That's an in-depth explanation. Research each category, and see what interests you the most and start learning.

Good luck.
Java is what the CS department teaches first at my college. It's an easy, but widely used, language so it is good to learn first.
Java is OK, but they have made themselves look bad as they faked benchmarks. Java could be an OK language to start with, but I would recommend either C++ or object free pascal.

But where are we supposed to learn Java, .NET and C ther not on codecademy last time i checked
I'm code the most of things with C++. It stays amazing to work with.
I started with Python lol I mean I knew a little about Java first but I learned Python the java , then C++ , and so on
I love it , I have a year left before I graduate with a B.A in computer science its a great field to get into to
C# is good for a first language and these Head First books are great. You can get it free here: http://it-ebooks.info/book/251/

This book will teach you the basics of C# and also has some fun activities like building your own windows store application.
