Hello this would be my first post aside from my greets post. I would like to ask what are the best or most suitable programming languages for malware development for starters? Maybe making a RAT or botnet.
I have many languages under my belt already such as most .NET languages (VB, C#, ASP and etc), C/C++, x86 Assembly with NASM and FASM, PHP, JavaScript, Python, Rust and a lot more based on personal experience. I hope I don't get hated and thanks for replying if you do give a reply.

You already have the answers in your post my friend. I think you just need to go find existing projects, reverse them or make them more stronger. Also, we have the market section where you could give some RATs, botnets or any tool you need a try. Some vendors also give free vouchers so don't hesitate to contact them.

For real? I dunno. I still think I lack of what is needed. 😭

Yes just strive more and do some more research then in a couple of weeks (or even days) then you might achieve this feat. You are already an experienced developer so I believe that you won't have problems in learning and won't struggle. 🙃

im finding hard to believe you have all that langs under your belt and don't know which one is better for MD

Ok thanks! I will do that happygonutty!

The reason? For personal purposes and just so I could have the feeling of achievement. 😆

well, it's nice to see people getting interested in MD recently, before proceeding, remember this is a long path, you probably might fall into the category of 95% of failed malware developers, which start with the idea and abort it at half way because they realize is not all bread and butter, im saying this because i want you as anyone else interested, to make sure you know what you going to do, and what are the pros and cons of this, you said you have many langs under your belt, what about core concepts such as cryptography and anti-viruses? have you got any knowledge on those? you must first make sure you have a very strong understanding of cryptography and then AV evasion techniques, without even one of those, you will be toasted, malware dev is not just about coding, you first must understand how AVs work just like folks writing AV software otherwise you stand no chance in evading those, for example, if you dont even know the difference between polymorphic and metamorphic malware, you might need to study malware first from here https://defcontoronto.com/wp-content/upl...delson.pdf, and cryptography from here http://repository.futminna.edu.ng:8080/j...GRAPHY.pdf, you have a pretty good programming experience since you mention assembly and c++, this was a professional advice given from someone working in the field for more than 15 years, 5 years in advanced cryptography and steganography and 8+ years of AV evasion experience, you can thank me later

Nahh I am thanking you now. As an experienced developer who wants to dabble with malware development, that is the sole reason why I am here and thanks for being nice and sharing your thoughts and insights about malware development. I will look into the links you have sent later on but I would consider the techniques you have suggested and learn more. I forgot who posted this but I saw this on some thread just a few hours ago....

And from that account and have been looking at 2 PDFS. Botnet Bible and Botnet Tutorial and currently studying the other contents of that post. If you have more resources please do share, I am more than willing to learn and willing to exchange knowledge and techniques as well in programming.

to be honest, you shouldn't jump into something named with "bible" as the name says, it will be overwhelming, as you're a beginner, you need to start from something more user-friendly, have a look at the links i shared with you, be careful what you start with, there are great chances you might struggle or get down to your knees while learning those and eventually abort, the resources you stated are good after you have learned the basics and understood the building blocks, you can't jump into something specific without knowing the generics first, when people do that, they usually end up only leaving without results...

i doubt that, honestly, if you do malware development you will also understand how long is the way from just coding to malware, malware is about 70% experience, 20% skills and 10% coding

I have already compiled most of the source codes I obtained from GitHub written in C# and I am looking for more challenging source codes aside from what I have. I am not that overwhelmed at all since I always read lots and as I say I am a very experienced developer already especially in software development so it won't be a problem, its just this time I get my hands in malware development.
Just keep moving forward and don't hesitate to post threads and ask questions to everyone OP. We don't bite and we are totally nice.
Like what secret_code just says, you already have way a lot under your belt and he has already given you what you need which is a path.

Delphi is also solid. Lower the level, the better.

Delphi is kinda low level but is it still used? I did research few nights ago and they say writing in Delphi makes it stronger and more undetectable since its very rare. Most of the malware I see in news are progressing to Go, Rust and Nim. Are there latest threats written in Delphi?

don't, there are 1k+ reasons to avoid using delphy for malware development[exe size, abstraction, limited low-level calls, stealth issues, etc...), just go for langs such as C/C++, they are still choice n1 for folks writing malware professionally

There are some truth in what you are trying to say and yes C/C++ would always still be the number 1 choice but for malware development, your malware has to be unique. Either you use an unusual language for its uniqueness or you have an outstanding crypter that could make your malware undetectable. A good example would be those in the market section my friends.
