After painstakingly waiting for all the parts—valve cover being powder coated, transmission and motor being fully rebuilt, including CSS (Cylinder Support System, not Cascading Style Sheets)—it is finally time for my ’88 CRX to get its full swap once the engine bay is painted.
It also has a functioning sunroof, JDM conversion power windows, and once boosted, it will have A/C as well.
I’m going to run it NA for the first 1,000 miles; then it will be time to boost it and bully the highways. It’s a full B18C1 swap for anyone curious.
I’m not definitive on the turbo setup yet, but I have a bit of time to figure that out 😋

From my personal experience I can only say, don't forget the Oil after an engine swap

It amazes me that people just rip their car apart and frankenstein it with new parts. Meanwhile i'm scared to even change the oil myself.

It definitely make life easier having multiple vehicles just in case, it also helps knowing people that are educated on what you're trying to pursue. Between forums, second hand input, knowledgeable people it def makes the process a tad easier. Best bet is just to do it, you can only learn from your mistakes!

Doing a oil change is rather easy to be honest. Just watch a video on YouTube so you don't mess it up. I'll give you a short rundown.
1) Jack your vehicle up/put it on ramps. (Don't forget jackstands because you'll be crawling under your car)
2) Take off your oil cap in your engine bay.
3) Crawl underneath vehicle and remove oil drain bolt with a container/something to catch the oil coming out.
4) When oil has been fully drained out, remove oil filter, replace with new oil filter. (Oil filter goes on HAND tight)
5) Put oil drain bolt back into vehicle.
6) Put new oil in your vehicle via the top of your engine & put the oil cap back on.
This is a short run down and a few things here and there are missing. You'll want to research what oil filter your vehicle needs, what type of oil it needs and how much oil it will need. If you would like to do it on your own, I can give you a clear step by step process on how to do it on your vehicle specifically and everything else I mentioned 🙂

Simply can just dip ur finger in the new oil and rub it on.
Also recommend getting oil/filters from : https://www.rockauto.com/

I do that as well, but I just gave a quick run down on how to do it without all the nitty gritty steps 😆

It's okay, he won't find out until his next oil change anyways 🤣
