So here's a little something I've been pondering; What Languages can you speak and why did you learn it? For example;
Language: English
Level: Fluent
Reason: I was born and raised speaking it
Language: French
Level: Semi-fluent
Reason: I learned to speak it while in the education system
Language: German
Level: Semi-fluent
Reason: I learned to speak it while in the education system
Language: Greek
Level: Semi-fluent
Reason: I visit Greece a lot for holidays and know a few Greek people locally
Language: Bengali
Level: Learning
Reason: For the last few months I have been learning Bengali to speak to the staff at our local Indian that we frequent on a regular basis - more out of a respect thing
Language: Sinhala
Level: Learning
Reason: Similar to the above, a member of staff joined the restaurant that was from Sri Lanka so I have been learning to speak with them
I pick up languages quite easily so I'd be interested to hear what languages people know and which ones were easy to pick up.

Oooo Arabic. Now I've heard that most languages like Bengali and Sinhala originate from Arabic, is that true? I do see some similarities and I wonder if there's a collective of languages that are similar that would be easy to pick up.

I'd love to learn Spanish, I feel like it's quite a "sexy" language, like Italian. Or maybe that's just what the movies say.

Native Portuguese level. It's where I'm from.
Advanced Spanish level. I spent a lot of time in Spain for work.
Intermediate English level. I write and read very well, but speaking costs me a bit.
Russian, I am currently learning at level A2, and its because my girlfriend is Russian from Yekaterinburg. It seems like a very interesting language to me.
