Would love to learn more about cyber security in 24 still young but a noob haha I have a lot to learn, not looking for a career just for fun and to maybe make a little money on the side one day

I've made it as I wish I had it when I started to learn 6 years ago (I was almost your age). It will allow you to save a lot of time.

If you have any question related to this field, feel free to ask in the thread or to open your own thread in the white hat section. For every thread, please provide as much details as possible, the more info you give us, the more we're able to guide you

I went back to school at age 24, I did a 2 year degree in 1 year about computers (I guess computer science), then I started to work as a helpdesk tech, I learned from home, building my homelab, practicing online, talking with people, asking for advice on HF, during the time I became sys and network admin, then I added many tasks related to cybersecurity to my work, and now I plan to work as a tier 2 SOC analyst

I remember when I went back to school, I was kinda ashamed because all of my friends already had a good position and I was way older than the other students, but I'm glad I did it, otherwise I wouldn't be where I am today.

You'll see many people in the same case as you and me on the forum, and one day a member told me something that I'll never forget :

"The best time to plant a tree was 25 years ago, the second best time is now."
