So, I have been called skid or script kiddie on Discord servers, etc. But I know what script kiddie means, but I don't know what I am doing as a script kiddie.
For example, let's say hack forums created this forum using AI or anything else, and this kid calls him a skid for that. 

Does people now days call hackers or learners want to be hackers, Skids as insult or troll?

or I don't understand what I am doing wrong, and I don't know I am being a skid.

You shouldn't bother with things like that. Just strive to learn and become as skilled as possible.

I have used the term myself, mostly when someone is annoyingly lazy and refuses do hard work, but it's still just a silly word in the toolbox. 🙂

Utilizing tools without understanding how they work is a skid imo. Skid as derogatory is some angsty black hat shit. But you should understand how the tools you use work.

Script kiddies are usually those who don't understand what they're doing. Many script kiddies download tools on Github but don't understand how they work, they follow "tutorials" on YouTube but most of the time these tutorials are ways for hacker to spread their malware, luring beginners making them thinking they're using hacker tools but they're actually being hacked.

Beginners who don't get the basics (such as system, networking, coding, and so on) are also considered as SK. You can't dive straight to hacking without the basics. Hacking relies on these domains.

With the raise of AI, people relying on AI to make codes can also be considered as SK, in a certain way I guess.

Finally, Discord is known to get the most toxic people in this field. There are plenty of Discord servers about hacking populated by young people who denigrate the others because they know a thing or two.

HF has a more mature community, the forum has been online for 17 years, most of us are around 30 and more, don't learn from idiots on Discord, take a seat and listen to the wise people here.
