So, my friend and I were thinking of getting into urban exploring. It seems fun, When we were younger, we used to be into climbing small abandoned places, but since we couldn't travel, it meant exploring the same spot pretty much every time. Lately though, we've really been wanting to travel to some places (preferably places not well known). There's a WWII bunker about an hour's drive away that's pretty unknown, and we’re definitely planning to go and explore it. Do any of you currently do this, or have you done it in the past?

Something about them lol Yeah, hospitals would be fun—definitely have one on our list. Sadly, it's kind of impossible to find places on your own, but there are some sources that help with finding locations that aren't well known. I think I liked them ever since I played/watched SH2 a long time ago lol (Oct 20, 2024 01:20 PM)Deany Wrote: I think I liked them ever since I played/watched SH2 a long time ago lol Silent Hill? Urban exploring seems like a pretty fun activity to engage in! I personally haven't tried it out, but now that you've mentioned it, I might consider trying it. Exploring new and unique places that no one really knows about would be pretty cool!

It was very grown and it looked like it was completely forgot about. Old paper assignments were still in desks and the gym still had equipment in it. It was a fun time. That sounds dope! Honestly this would be a way better time than going out to a bar or the town.
Not urban, but growing up I was surrounded by miles and miles of woods/farmland.
There were dozens of abandoned farms. Fully furnished, like from the 40's 50's style. The younger generations chose to preserve them I guess. I never took anything but it was fun seeing the time capsules. (Oct 20, 2024 01:17 PM)Deany Wrote: I don't do it personally , but love watching people on YT do it. I was very into urbex during the last two years of high school and some of my undergrad in college. Most of the initial urbex was abandoned industrial buildings that were previous warehouses, shipping terminals, and grain silos. We eventually began to explore abandoned infrastructure in the forests such as dams and railways.
I never really ventured into exploring office buildings such as tall abandoned structures. I had a very intense experience once in an abandoned office tower on the 11th floor running into some scrappers. Scrappers are very protective of their turf and always have heavy machinery. One of my favorite Urbex sources is UER... there is some absolutely AMAZING urbex storytelling on there.
Space echoes like an immense tomb, yet the stars still burn. Why does the sun take so long to die?
