$800.... Things over there must be so much cheaper than AU. That amount of tiles for our home were about $2000

600 x 600mm glazed porcelain tiles with rectified edge.

Looks awesome though.

Started Nov 13th.

Photos are the progression of course. Did the job 100% myself with no assistance. First time doing tile.

So 2 weeks of work, it's done. I think it looks great. Everyone who has seen it seems to like it. It's not perfect but I'm fairly pleased that I did it. Total cost about $800.

Any questions?

I like it, looks clean. Massive improvement.

Wow, it looks really good. I'm surprised it only cost $800! Nice. Do you know how much hardwood would have been for that space?

Doesn't look bad at all, good job! Crazy that it only cost $800, probably atleast that if not more in labor if you didn't do it yourself

It's only a 12x12 (feet) room. My home is 2800 sqft. If I was to do the whole house would probably be $10k worth of tile ($3 sqft per tile plus overage).

You use mortar. You get the dry bags and mix with water to the right consistency and lay it down. You can buy some pre-mixed stuff, but I don't recommend that. I still have a couple times left and 1/4 bag of mortar in case I think of some way to use it.

You just want the end goal. You need to appreciate the process too.

Anyone can pay someone to do it, but it always is a better feeling when you put in the work yourself.

No it’s not, just means you can’t pay someone professional to do it.

And Gramps old he has nothing better to do anyways so I don’t blame him.

I think Omni is in a comfortable position to pay someone to do it. Maybe its a switch up in his day to day routines.
