There is no need for bruteforcing because you can't beat the fingerprinting or trusted keys. So we use the thousands of devices that are already open. And if you know where the factories are....you can get your shit installed before the devices even leave the factories. The best factories to hit are in South Korea and Taiwan. Hit those up and you've got a gold mine because your shit will then get spread across the globe.

I find this really hard to believe. I found 899 open ports on Shodan. A number of them showed cloud-specific Linux kernels. One was an Internet gateway. Another was a Cobalt Strike Beacon.

You can't help but love a manufacturer's flaw. Leaving unauthenticated adb open is the fault of the manufacturer. But this flaw is present in devices all across the world. In just about every country you can find this exploit. Therefore, until manufacturer's close, fix, or otherwise do their jobs properly, this will continue to exist.
