I wanna know about spying on an Android phone, most likely getting access to WhatsApp messages or texts and call record. I wanna know this for a genuine purpose and not trying to commit something illegal.

I can say that I want to break into a house or stalk someone for a genuine purpose that isn't illegal. The police do not care if you think that your motives are good.
