yeah i guess i got a bit too excited and just wanted to see if i get payed.
i ended up not sending them anything and just it feels sketchy.
email can get logged, address tracked (and laundered through, among infinte other concerns if i even got payed, and this just wasn't a stunt to show that the wiki had visitors or the letterboy agencies had people willingly handing in their emails and addresses that could be monitored and deanonymized and linked directly to the email.
so yeah
First time I see this scam, I've seen few times people sharing repo like hidden wiki / or taxii for hidden links, but never paid attention to the content.
I'm keeping this thread but masking URLs and email addresses for security purposes. I think this is interesting. Do you have any idea what happens next ? When the victim sends the "proof" of the share of the link ? He will have to download a sketchy thing ? Send 1$ BTC as fee to receive the prize ? Let me know what you think !
OP shared a v3 onion link containing the following, that's why he posted on HF and then left :
Inconsistency with dates (2022 instead of 2025)
Many SE levers used : - Urgency – "So hurry, don't waste your time!"
- Limited Availability – "Only the first 200 users..."
- Visual Manipulation – Use of bold/red/highlighted phrases like "FREE MONEY!!!"
- Low-effort, high-reward promise – "Earn $15 in less than 2 minutes of work."
- Social Proof – Implying others are already participating ("let's continue the tradition")
- Trust-building language – "We're not asking anything illegal", "perfectly legal means"

exactly. I was too high on "free internet money" not realizing that there were too many attack vectors. the email, the address being tracked, me being deanonimzed etc

Also i guess if they do send the money its them deanonimizing tor/bitcoin users
and if they dont send, they have an address to watch thats vaguely "suspected" by some letterboy agencies with an email

Glad to see you coming back after posting this thread, I didn't expect it to be honest. No worries, it can happen to anyone, call of easy money is usually strong, but time teaches that there is no free money.
If you're new to this domain, or want to learn more, feel free to stay on HF. No need to go through the dark web or things like that, beginners are easy preys there, same for Discord or Telegram channels that are mostly made to scam / hack beginners.
You should start with an introduction thread in the lounge, tell a little bit about yourself, what are your looking for, what are your current skills, and so on (don't reveal personal info tho).
Hope to see you around !

Haha thanks, yeah well ive always wanted to have an account on hackforums i just never did one, and i just saw it as the perfect "forum" to just spread an innocent link for some btc
I would say im pretty tech savvy, i mean ill just write the about me in the actual lounge but im into bitcoin, libertarianism, computers. used them since i was 3 and fascinated ever sinse. which would be why i kind of stopped and had a post high clarity and just oh no i wouldve sold off the little opsec i have.
I mean i kind of suspected it which is why i didnt even use my usual username that i just plaster on everything, ill either delete and make a new one or change username idk
and yeah ill go see the forum for real this time. i thought only sites like cs.rin.ru were the only forum like sites left which is cool that it isnt the case. Tired of reddit scrolling lmao
