Michael Scheuer hacked into Disney’s menu creation servers multiple times to manipulate the menus. Some of the changes made included changing the prices of items and adding profane language.
Disney employee Michael Scheuer jailed for hacking park menu system to remove nut allergies. The complaint stated that the damages from Scheuer's actions exceeded $150,000.
"Michael Scheuer had a medical event that resulted in him being suspended," his defense lawyer said. "Disney then failed to respond to his inquiries about why he was suspended, and then his suspension was inexplicably changed to a termination. Disney refused to provide a response as to why he was fired and made no accommodations for him.
In an attempt at revenge he removed all the nut allergy warnings from the menus across Disney restaurants and then Scheuer additionally altered various wine origin locations to reflect locations of recent mass shootings and launched "denial of service" attacks which would lock certain employees out of their accounts, according to officials.
He also reportedly altered allergen information on the menus to indicate that certain items were safe for customers with food allegers when in fact they were not.
Michael Scheuer has now recently been sentenced to three years in prison, according to authorities. Scheuer is required to pay nearly $690,000 in restitution, with most of that going to Disney. He was also ordered to surrender the computer he used to commit the crimes.

Revenge because they fired him for getting sick and taking too much time off work. He wanted to make them look bad to customers I guess. But could have even caused deaths and apparently he didn't care, or he basically wanted that so it would be in the news that someone died because of eating Disney food, and he thought there was no way he could be caught.

How did they catch him? Don't tell me that they went on the premise and Disney was like we think it's this guy that we fired.
The cops show up at the dudes crib.. Asking did you do this? He replies of course I did it... why wouldn't I ... as if it's normal behavior.
Doesn't everyone just like to get revenge on their employer when they fire them? Cops then go... WE GOT HIM!!!.
lol
Reads like an HF member that I banned and then harasses me and attacks HF for months.
Deranged people. Hope he gets about 2 years to think on his actions.

Scheuer allegedly disabled employee accounts during his hacking campaigns. He locked at least 14 Disney employees out of their accounts by continually attempting to log on to their accounts with incorrect passwords. He also used a bot to attempt over 100,000 logins to their accounts, rendering them unusable.
I imagine at this point Disney asked the police if they could get their police cyber team onto it?

What a dick.. he could of easily caused someone to die, or get extremely ill. I have a niece that has a nut allergy, and I've seen how her body reacts from eating something that has nuts in it, and shes gets violently ill depending on the amount she has come in contact with. One time her dad are something that contained nuts in it earlier in the day, and he went to give her a kiss goodnight not realizing he hadn't washed his mouth since eating.. him merely kissing her goodnight, caused a huge rash on the side of her face, and ultimately had to use her EpiPen to reverse the effects of the allergic reaction. Not something to be played around with.
They need to put this guy under the prison.

I'll bet you have had more than one of those over the years. The man was sentenced to three years in prison for hacking into a menu-creating system used by the park's restaurants to falsely say foods were safe from certain allergies, when they were not. An adult or child could have died as a result of his chillingly selfish revenge plot. He also put profanity on the menus and changed the names of wine regions to the names of towns where recent mass murders occurred.

2 years is lenient in my opinion.
Removing nut allergen listings could have been fatal to innocent people, 5 years to think about his actions would be better suited.
