In your cyber security journeys, I'm sure all of us have ONE regret, or one thing we would have done differently. So I'm curious, what's yours?
The one thing I'd do differently is go back and show myself how I was getting stressed by this one guy harassing me on COD. Back in the day. He was using a web stressor LOL. Then I'd have saved myself a few years on the life span trying to figure out how to stop it. I was 14 or so I think.
Still not really sure how my ISP didn't really catch on to what was happening, and at least CALL us or something.
Like in general too ? Prob never get into gaming. I would rather put all that time and $ spent into something else or into crypto lol
I would of stopped drinking beer all the the time and going to the company mixers / office drinking when I had a really good IT Admin job working for a small Mortgage loan company. It seriously turned me into an alcoholic with a lot of regrets and debts.

I'm right with you on that one, ive tried replacing gaming with studying an doing HTB and all those other challenges, but something always pulls me back into gaming.. at first its like "imma take a break so I dont get burnt out on cybersecurity" then im grinding for hours with no reason to it.

I'm going through a 7 days to die phase with that lol. But my rhythm guitarist is doing it with me, so.
Mine would be not taking networking fundamentals seriously early on. Would’ve saved me a lot of headaches later trying to patch over weak foundations.

I'll keep this in mind and go back and re-do my networking stuff once again, thanks for the hot tip.

Never watch porn, I never open up to my addictions, lust is a weakness I have, I am no angel, yet I think of myself as a soldier of god.

Yeah, I'm with you there. Got to the point where I wasn't even enjoying gaming anymore - it was just something I felt like I HAD to do to escape reality.
When you add up all the hours, it's a hell of a lotta wasted time that could've been spent sharpening skills or something.
i would change majority of the life choices i made that makes me cringe heavily 💀

Yeah but this could mean you stuttered while talking to a woman once, or that you beat off to young pictures of your gram gram by accident. Could you be a little more specific?

wow that is a crazy example but 😭😭 probably i would go back and stay off the internet as a kid or atleast wouldn’t get myself exposed to porn by talking to random men online 💀

Yeah, ironically enough, I also kinda wish that I wasn't on the internet as much as I was. But I also would do everything again if I could still be me. So, I'm pretty torn on that.
