Would never want to live in Germany of today. Cayman's would be hard to get residence. Only 10k people on the island of 30k are actual residents. Most are temporary workers. Beautiful, but tiny island. UAE, I suppose. Seems to be attracting a large crypto population.

UAE is too damn hot to live in during the summer. It’s also kind of impossible to get citizenship there. They only do resident cards.

I’ve been in UAE, another thing is just how small and boring Dubai really is. It’s only good for a week or two vacation.

And if someone don’t have money, and moves to the UAE, it’s going to be real slave work.
UAE is very strict since they just got outside grey list of fatf, they support crypto but be sure to show source of income every year.
UAE has gotten very strict with banking sector since these past few years.
In the US the banks literally only just report to IRS but in the UAE they not just report to the IRS for american citizens but they also take action against the accounts even though the IRS doesn’t tell them too.

I have stopped using my UAE accounts due to risk of them demanding kyc and the risk of account closures.

That sounds more like how I would think it is.

Yes UAE is very strict now, yes it is income tax free but we have VAT 5%, and also 15% corporate tax that only applies to companies that have revenue for more than 350k AED roughly 95k USD.

Binance headquarter has also moved to UAE, and also for many other crypto exchanges but this was mainly so that they can get it regulated which grants them access to user data.

Now if you receive large funds on an uae binance account, your money can be frozen and you will be asked for aml/kyc docs which are not easy in UAE.

Imo the safest place right now for crypto is russia.
