Starring Ice Cube which must have taken about 90% of the movie's budget, this is actually horrific, the worst CGI/Movie in a long time.
Who the fuck is wasting money making movies like this?
Anyway it's one of the worst rated movies of all time, i'm truly shocked how this movie wasn't scrapped lol.
Currently 4% on Rotten tomatoes, and pretty much terribly rated everywhere else.
Wtf is up with America and their garbage movie industry in the last 5-10 years?

Not actually the worst movie of all time, but it's very dumb and bad. I question how a movie about government surveillance, conspiracy theories, and data stealing aliens where the action plays out on computer screens made it through production.

I must admit, I do slightly disagree with your last part, IF it was expertly done, the theory has many promising ideas for a movie, the data stealing could actually be valuable for Aliens.
Examining the human race, for weaknesses, DNA, reproductive information that Aliens could require etc, there's a world there if there's talent behind the idea, however it needs brilliant writers and producers behind it.
For example, if the Aliens were dying out on their planet due to some complex reproductive reason, extracting our reproductive organs/dna could re-generate and allow Aliens to save their own species since our reproductive system is actually incredible.
I definitely want to see this film, even though it's pure garbage. I have a strange fascination with poorly made films. It's astonishing to think about how directors can sit back and say, “Wow, I can’t believe I created this.” It’s truly mind-blowing!

I'm obsessed by terrible movies, one of my favourites is 'Batman and Robin' from 1997, everything about it is ridiculous (why is Clooney wobbling his head like that?), there's a whole subplot about the butler's brother that they just drop with no explanation, the character's motivations are utterly bizarre, Arnie's costume looks like it was created by a drunk 6 year old, the plot is so lazy it defies belief.
Or pretty much anything post-Pulp Fiction starring John Travolta. There's one called 'Work the Line', where he plays a lineworker (clever), and from seeing the poster I made up a plot off the top of my head and described it to my wife, and then insisted we watch the movie....and my made-up plot was almost exactly correct! It was his niece not his daughter he had to bring up as a single father, and she got shot rather than needing electricity for her dialysis machine, but otherwise, I was bang on the money.
I love 'dad thrillers' from the 90s too, that always star Bill Pullman or Andy Garcia or Alec Baldwin, where the plot makes NO SENSE ('Mercury Rising', check it out, and have fun trying to explain what Alec Baldwin's character was expecting to achieve).
The original with Tom Cruise (fuck Tom Cruise) was kinda bad but the plot and aliens made up for it. I think I'd rather suckstart a 9mm than try to make it through this.. They also tried blaming COVID for the low ratings...

That's not the original, it's based on a book by HG Wells from about 1895. There was a movie in the 1950s - Orson Welles also did a radio version in the 30s with fake news broadcasts, that caused a panic because some people thought it was real and that aliens really were invading.

I watched it yesterday and I still enjoyed it from watching it years ago, I hate the kid screaming all the movie, but I enjoyed the realism
