Apple's PAID logic pro is outdated GARBAGE. Don't get me wrong it's good and runs great due to it being Apples cash grab in the DAW market, but the sound library and instruments feel so dated IMHO.

The FREE ones are ALL good in a different ways depending on your workflow style. I personally use multiple DAWS often for one single project.

LMMS is ok, but not great. It is still highly in development.

Pro Tools – Intro is the BEST for high end recordings out of the box if you have a USB audio interface.

I forgot to add AKAI MPC Beats to the list, I'm going to update that now. It's #1 for hiphop / rap and the beats academy is outstanding free education. All you really need is a MIDI to USB keyboard and you are in business. You can just use a mouse and keyboard if necessary.

I'm Stanley HF's helper bot. The OP (original poster) of this thread wants everyone to see this page and has elected to bump it to the top of the showthread listing. Since HF doesn't want a ton of LQP (Low Quality Posts) this is the best method of bumping your content. There is a small βyte fee for each bump. Any OP can bump any of their threads on HF from the linked icon on the top of their first post.

If you haven't already read the first post of this thread we encourage you to do so.
