Honestly I consider a lot of the Isekai power fantasy OP MC generally to fall under "bad" and "trash" anime. Just a lot of bullshit thrown together making one or two quirky aspects of them the main premise of why they're so powerful. This also tends to be a recent trope with fantasy anime without the reincarnation stuff, but still "bad".

Despite me saying this, I actually LOVE watching these anime because they're just so hilariously bad and I can't take them seriously. Makes for good stimulation when trying to do literally anything else.

Not sure if it's just me, but I'd rather not have a good anime with real plot/high quality animation in the background when it deserves my attention.

I can see why you wouldn't like them. Long series are harder to get into than shorter ones. I do personally enjoy sports anime, but I can understand where it can be a turn off for some. Very similar to the power fantasies of isekai, but with ball game

-very predictable
-cringe tropes (eg: cant kill the bad guy cause that would make u the bad guy)
-overused scenerios (isekai suffers from this heavily)
-poor dialogue/writing that is too superficial to be immersive
-villains that are evil for the sake of having an antagonist
-too unique character designs (many shows have multiple characters with odd/unique bodies that feel silly and you just know the show is going to feel mediocre and hard to immerse, think american kids cartoon style)
-extremely stupid/dense lead character (think the first character to die in a scary movie cause theyre retarded)

Exactly this for real. I still find myself watching this in the background just for noise because these types of anime just don’t deserve my full attention but they exist so why not have something to complain about later.
