It's on HBO right now. Decided to watch it last night. Have a friend who is huge into comics and super heroes. He hated the movie. I thought he was being a douche bag about it. It's one of the few times I completely agreed with him.
I go and look at Rotten Tomatoes and it has a 90%. I'm like WTF. It's a horrible movie. It's full of garbage. Redeeming quality might be the visuals but the story was crap. The characters very silly. The dialogue stupid.
I can go into more detail but it's not worth my time. Just wanted to share that I hated it.
Yeah I saw the Rotten Tomatoes report too and thought the same. Very below average watch imo.
Just by watching the trailer, it felt like something didn’t quite fit.

I don't know, it felt like every character, even Superman and Lex Luthor, were not very fleshed out. The message in the end would've been great if it had been built up more, but it ended up feeling a bit preachy and childish.
What did your friend say about why he hated the movie? I'm curious to hear.

My buddy is huge into Super Heroes (comics), he didn't like they took a ton of liberties with the characters. I agreed especially with Superman himself.
The movie to me seemed like the target audience was 8-12 year olds.

Most garbage Superman movie to date. And you'll still see a lot of mfs defending that shit even gas lighting people calling it a masterpiece and saving grace of dc lol.

Wasn’t as action packed as I wanted it to be. If it wasn’t for the dog, I’d stop watching it 😅

Oh lord, the whole dog thing was cheesy, I admit it was more original but it seemed childish. Then the end with Supergirl, ugh.
