You wake up with $10M on your bank accountWhat do you do first?

Picture waking up one morning and checking your balance to find eight digits staring back at you. No warning, no explanation—just $10 million sitting on your account, ready for you to do as you will. Do you resign from work? Travel abroad? Invest on anything? Or maybe just sit there in shock for a moment?

Big bucks come with big decisions and your initial move tells a lot about you.

So…what's the first thing you'd do?
Invest it all and live off the interest.

At 5%, that is $500,000 a year. More than enough for me.

Where do plan to invest that money?

If I wanted a non risk, I know for a fact my bank offers me 5% yearly, no risk.

There is probably better or at least more options, but I will look into that when I get the $10 million.

I think the bank interest you will receive is still subject to some kind of tax deduction, isn’t it?
The first thing I do is check if there are any hidden cameras installed in my house and if Jimmy has organized another stupid Squid Games-style event at my house. Then, like any self-respecting resident of Poland, I start complaining that I don't know what to do with all this money, that I have to pay taxes, and that my family will soon want to borrow money, etc. 🤣🤣🤣

I would buy a big house with a gym, pool and office.
Mornings start with silence, not alarms.

I agree, I like the idea of not needing to go anywhere.

It’s funny that your instinct isn’t to spend, but to search for hidden cameras first. Taxes and family expectations would surely pile up fast. Rich problems may be stressful, but they’re still better than broke problems 😁

I know it's funny, but it's a real part of every Pole's natural disposition. In my country, they say that “a Pole will find a reason to worry in every situation, even the most positive one.” And in retrospect, I can see that these are not just empty words. It seems to me that we have developed this skeptical approach to life over the years of our nation's difficult history. I myself believe that, regardless of what you think, this attitude can often save your ass in everyday life 😇

That actually makes a lot of sense. A cautious mindset can definitely help avoid big mistakes. Sometimes skepticism is a hidden strength.

Definitely yes, it is worth developing the habit of questioning and challenging everything that comes our way, because it allows us to experience a completely different perspective. A perspective which, as you mentioned earlier, can protect us from serious mistakes.
