Today is World Teachers' Day, a celebration for those who lead, motivate and mold our lives with knowledge. Whoever it was that brought joy to learning, encouraged you or helped you get through the hard times, they all deserve recognition.

Do you still recall your favorite teacher's name and why they stood out from the rest?

My favorite teacher was easily Mr. Schaffer. He taught Business Law to 11th graders.
He wore the same thing all of the time. Which was a white dress shirt, suspenders,
complete with black slacks and polished shoes.

I used to admire all teachers in school, may be i was not the most smart one but i was a decent student for sure

I only have one memorable teacher, they taught me to play chess when I was in like the 7th grade and let me play like every day. It was sick.

That sounds like an awesome teacher! Chess is such a great game for sharpening your mind and patience. It’s nice when a teacher encourages something you actually enjoy doing. I bet those matches are memories that still make you smile today.

That's the only teacher that I have added on my social medias too. Good guy, saw potential in me even though I had little to no interest in what he was actually supposed to be teaching me he also told me one day something that I will never forget he said "You know, there's a good chance I'll be working for you in 15 years" and I think about that often when I am trying to push myself to do something I don't want to do.

That’s such a powerful thing for a teacher to say, it really sticks with you. It’s amazing how a few words of encouragement can stay in your mind for years. Sounds like he truly believed in your potential, even when you didn’t see it yourself. Teachers like that make a lasting impact far beyond the classroom.

It’s always the cool coaches who make those years more enjoyable. Maybe his encouragement stuck with you more than his name.

That sounds painful, man. Getting roasted by a teacher for no reason can really crush your spirit. Some people just don’t realize the power of their words.
