Is it harder nowdays to hustle autonomously?

Hey, so is it harder, at least in my country (France), to hustle autonomously?

More precisely with modern grey/black-hat money making methods. I feel like I always need to either pay shoutouts from people, ads on forums, groups etc or know someone else that will shoutout for me in order to sell things, that I need a reputation (or be friend with someone who has connections) to work with efficient and legit people if I don't want to waste time with snakes (those are worse and harder to spot than typical scammers) or people that'll ruin everything

Is it me or is it really harder than the 2015-2022 era? The only autonomous method, that isnt that much based on luck to get customers or on the necessity to get a side-worker, is the good old Kik/Snap e-whoring method, even though it is saturated as hell it is still that easy if you focus on quantity rather than quality, and I know it still works as Trident, an HQ member of the HF community that I trust and believe when it is about e-whoring, confirmed it not so long ago

P.S: when I said "sell things", I am not talking only about e-whoring, theres much more grey hat/black hat things to sell out here.
Reputation is not only about anonymity, it's about avoiding scams.

People stopped spending money without guarantees - and in the times we live in, just your word is not enough.

Yeah I know right, when I am talking about reputation it is not about selling things and not only about HF - it can be in any community, group driven towards a specific work/method.

By my prior experience, when I was in these different groups, without reputation it was like gambling: I either worked with efficient people, but right after getting their first cut (700 to 2000$ in less than an hour!!!) they'd just ghost me, give me excuses for few days/weeks and until the day they'd be open to work with me again my "tools" died, or with ass people that couldn't make a buck... but people who had reputation could build a consistent duo/team without any hassle. Again I don't know if this is specific to my country (France) or happens everywhere
Yeah, information is everywhere, but so is competition.
Standing out takes more than just grit now.
