You can create stablecoins however you want, but the important part is they last over time and keep real value.

Open Issuance could bring stablecoins into sectors we never expected. From small businesses to big corporations, anyone could jump in now. That’s both exciting and a little scary when it comes to stability.
Making stablecoins this easy is huge development. But the hard part is keeping them stable lol.

Yeah... it can be a "stablecoin" but doesn't mean its not still going to be a shitcoin. 🤣

If it's truly for utility, great. If people use this to market tokens that have iffy liquidity, no thanks.
Since it's from Stripe, i am assuming they will cover their risks & ensure they truly are stable.
Read the fineprint guys...Stripe is great at making sure risks are covered, by the business using Stripe.

they said in the article ; and i quote : Stripe claimed that its solution carries fewer risks than building one in-house, which can create challenges with managing reserves, compliance, and liquidity.

I believe this means that they have premade smart contracts you can deploy, with clear functions for managing the token. They most likely either retain ownership of the contract, or they may give you Owner. Either way, once the contract is deployed, the bytecode / functions / hash verification can cover it.
Stripe most likely has a working, secure, and audited contract format that they deploy for their users

Yerp, it's a good thing too. I don't love the idea of a million stablecoins, but I do enjoy the idea of STABLE coins, as-in tokens with audited contracts and verified/tested web3 functions.
