Why are food and arcade games so expensive?

The food is mid at best, and the games are overpriced. I understand why the kiddos like this type of environment, but $2 to play a game of skeeball? That's one of the cheaper games.

I take my kids to the arcade like 3 times a year or so. Cost me like 150$ each time to get them an unlimited play pass. Half the games dont work, and the environment certainly isn't what it used to be.

That doesn't even include like food or drinks or anything.
BUT
They do get to pick out like 45cents worth of toys after their time finally runs out.

Yeah, it kind of sucks. There's a clawcade that opened near me and it's just so stinking expensive to play. Kind of takes the fun out of it.
Yeah its crazy. Its definitely a once in a great while thing when I take my kids out to an arcade.

The entire ordeal is a waste of money, but the time spent with your family makes it worthwhile.

I wish there was a way to pay for unlimited play on the games.

Prices are unreasonably high.
It makes me avoid them.
Yeah it's a bummer I LOVE arcades but jeez cost a fortune. Bring back 1-2 quarter games!
Sir , you are talking about the food in the arcade places or about 2 different things that has the overpricey in common ??

There are places you can go in the USA where you play games and there is also a buffet for food.

Chuck E Cheese opened up a new arcade for adults called Chucks now and the pricing isn't to bad depending on how much you wanna spend. imo it was ok and food was decent.

Where I live , the Arcade places Are very primitive , and there is only like chocolate bars like snickers and other stuff and juices and energy drinks there , that's all ..
Some arcades are cheap.... $2 for skeeball is insane honestly

Rep me for rep back and quick love for a qucik love back
There's a bar-cade close to my house and it's great.
15$ to get in, all the games are free, and reasonably priced drinks.

I guess it just depends on the location
