High of 117,067 today

Nice, nice, I like it

I think we'll struggle to go much higher than 115 and see it flop back to 113-114.
I have it at 112.5k for Nov 1

However, I originally predicted that it would make a serious attempt at 120k again. That could still happen with a pump, but failure to break ATH, with reduction back to 112 area.
I will tell you tomorrow, I have special talent to predict the history.
sub 105k

Nice, nice, not a bad prediction

OP BTC @ 125k

ada/cardano... I made a good amount off of that and would've loved these prices a few years ago.
I hope they make a return, but I am not buying ADA in my DCA plans

BTC @ 125k. I won't rule it out in next few days or weeks, but I don't think it'll hit today

I have BTC at around 140K for end of Feb 2026
I don't concern myself too much because 1 BTC is worth exactly 1 BTC.
1 Bitcoin will stay around the 117k mark for the day.
Do you want to be shot
115k $

Fair enough, that is 100% true

I'm not against buying more BTC at this price, just harder to do what you're saying unless I pull out of other investments to pile onto BTC. I'd rather add funds to BTC

On the 1 BTC is 1 BTC, and a new 1 ETH is 1 ETH thought
For me, it really is about the utility over the token cost.
My issue with BTC is that it might be the best store of value for crypto, but I don't know if it's the most useful
My issue with ETH is that I think it's bloated and has tech debt that could be replaced by another new L1

This ultimately is why it's hard for me to go to 80-20 or 90-10 on BTC. I believe in BTC 100%, but also others too

We're at 113k currently & day is almost over, but anything can happen!

Nice intuition, nice

You're coming late to the discussion imho. We've been through so many of these topics 6-7 years ago. SoV vs Utility....strange thing is that you said Ethereum. It's already replaced by a dozen other Smart Contract alts that do it better.

You can always invest into Utility but I prefer to invest in Value. Is your goal to hold the most widely used crypto or the one that's the most valuable?

Oh I understand, I was interested in crypto by 2010 :)
After all, I don't know if there is an original topic these days for most things that hasn't already been discussed.

I made a huge mistake not mining when a friend was interested in doing that, but this is by no means a new topic for me.

I made money in 2017 and every peak since, but honestly, I made billion dollar mistakes by not holding early. I accepted Bitcoin as payments back in 2012 and 2013 for freelancing. oh well

Between 2010 and 2014 I was begging my father to buy Bitcoin. Begging man...
He didn't, BUT because of this, he went big on quantum last year at my recommendation and there are always new opportunities ahead.

I mean, obviously for investing, I'd rather hold the most valuable, but I don't need an individual token to be the highest cost (per 1 token).
Holding 100 tokens at $1 each and holding 1 token at $100 each - not quite the same, BUT as investments the most valuable token isn't always the best investment.

The most widely used crypto may be the most valuable chain/network, even if the individual token price is not the most valuable.

Yearn.finance for example at one point had a higher ATH than BTC had ever had. It was a solid investment for me. But BTC has more utility than yearn.finance. In this case, BTC was a more valuable blockchain, even though Yearn had a higher token value.

I'm not saying I think ETH will easily overtake BTC's per-token value lol
But as an investment it could outperform BTC at times, and it does bring a lot to the table in terms of utility

I agree with you though on other chains. ETH feels bloated and full of tech debt in a way, and I always ended up using L2s or alt L1s instead of ETH for actual web3 work
Cannot wait till rate cuts come tomorrow and we dump 15% LOL.
and if we don't cut prepare for impact.

The charts are clear, there is a correction to low 90s or high 70s totally possible

in my theoretical model, I originally allowed for a cut to 60-65K even, but I have been off by about 10K so far on other key milestones (90 vs 97, 100 vs 110+ and 112 vs 120+), so I've padded my original 60k prediction to 70k to account for more recent TA.

Really it's that 90k range that is much more plausible than dropping below, but we shall see

I just hope I'm fucking right because if I am then through all of this, including a cutback, my next milestone is a pump to 160K, followed by a major bullrun to 400K with 1 possible attempt at 500K before a final major, major crash.
