My understanding is they are just going to focus more on the indo-pacific region which likely means they are going to focus more on China.

I don't think the US and China will reach any worthy long lasting agreement with the current administration due to so much flip-flopping. I also think China is dead set on taking Taiwan which will drag the USA into a war all while we are about to end up in a war with Venezuela.
