So yeah I just dove straight into the rabbit hole of Finnish hackers etc and the name "Zeekill" popped up.
It is the alias of one Aleksanteri Julius Kivimäki who is a "notorious" for the 2014 holiday season hack targeted against Sony.
He also later committed the Vastaamo data breach which he did between November, 2018 to March 2019. Even tho it only became public in October 2020.
He was sentenced in 2024 to 6 years and 3 months in prison. BUT HERE is the kicker. He was released in September 2025. Even tho the prosecutors wanted the conviction to stay as is.
Zeekill uploaded his /home/ folder by accident in the sample. If he's released, he is probably around if you look hard enough. I believe Zeekill was apart of HTP and other groups before LS. He has been around the block, but maybe he's changed his life around.

We can always hope he changes his ways but I highly doubt it. What I found out was that even the leading Finnish Information Security Specialist. Mikko Hyppönen tried to "save" Zeekill from this path when Julius was around 13 years old. Hyppönen said in an interview. So yeah I will be on the same stance with Hyppönen that Zeekill most likely will try something like this again in the future, but most likely he will be much more cautious so that it will be harder to track him down.
And to everyone else, I knew that he was a member of HF, but I just would like some insight to what kind of character he was?
I have heard so much about him, but he has just now peaked my curiosity because he was released so early. He was convicted in 2024 and got out just this September 2025. He was serving a 6y 3m sentence which is absurd that he got out so fast.
I also have heard that he was quite arrogant for his age, but none the less he was smart. When looking at the Sony hacking and the fact that he also had the "Brass Balls" to even hack some of the USAF devices and also the FBI and some local US Police departments. He was also convicted of managing to SWAT a FBI officers house and American Airlines. With a bomb threat, so yeah I would not let him out of the cage that fast if I was the judge.

Uhh Idk if Julius did that one, but Julius is skilled. Also a lot of his friends are now deceased etc.
Found new material to research about !! Especially that he was member here on HF !!
Yeah, it is an interesting story. But sad that he hurt so many people by doing this. I could not care less for the Sony, USAF etc but hacking a private sector health care clinic database and trying to blackmail innocent people with their medical history data is another level of fucked up. And that is why I think the overturning of his conviction from 6 years to a 1 year is fucked up at the least.

Kivimäki wasn't a technical genius. He was a Loudspeaker.
He got into those circles because he was willing to take the 'Heat' for the people doing the real work. He didn’t need Linux fundamentals to breach Vastaamo because the database was left wide open—that’s not hacking, that’s just walking through an unlocked door.
