What is the most expensive mistake you have ever made?

We have all done something dumb that cost us money, time, or peace of mind.

It could be crypto, business, tech, relationships, school... anything.

For me, one of my worst ones was trusting the wrong person with money and learning the hard way that not everyone deserves your trust. It was expensive, but also a big lesson.

What is yours?

No judging here, just sharing experiences so others do not repeat them 😂

Most of us here would have but that's not my expensive mistake. I'm saved from that trauma.

I have friends still suffering despite trying to make them understand.

I always reach an hour prior. Never missed a flight or a train. Do you generally forget or are you a last minuter?

I understand. However, this can happen to anyone looking for cheap tickets or trying to buy the ticket when officially the tickets are sold out.

In this case it was just sold out tickets yeah, we were even going for the market price. I should've suspected the old facebook account that looked stolen.

I know this happens because I have friends who do this. Very normal these days when you try to find something that's actually not available.

Not sure how much this resonates with most people here, but being part of "family business" cost me 35,000$ dumped out of my saved up hard work, around 5 years of my career start life phase and my mental health.

However, I do believe that everyone finds their own lessons relevant to what is needed in the long-term. I do believe that what I went through could either be nothing or just too much for a different person, that's one of the reasons I find myself giving value and support to whomever may need it, even if that person hasn't developed the tools of asking for the advice or cannot ask out of ego, I would still want to help where I could even if I had to do it without that person knowing I had anything to do with it.

These forums getting emotional and relatable recently, I hope everyone is doing well on their end or finding their way to.

Lots of small things. But nothing in particular that sticks out like a sore thumb. Of those many things it includes crypto where I have lost few thousand dollars
