Looking For Whatsapp Chat Export Method [ $10 ]

I am looking for a way to reliably export whatsapp chat only specifically on 1 person though.

I am using IOS.

Yes yes I know you can use the default export feature on whatsapp itself. But its not reliable when it has high chance of file corruption due to chats being 10GB and above.

Let me know, I just want the chat. Don't need for media etc...

Reward $10 depending on how reliable on the method when I test.

I’ve been researching this online, and most people seem to use this method >
iPhone Backup + iMazing (Most Stable & Secure)
This is the most reliable method on iOS, as it does not rely on WhatsApp’s built-in export feature, which often fails with large chats.

🔹 How It Works (Brief):
  1. Back up your iPhone to a computer (via Finder on macOS or iTunes on Windows)

  2. Open the backup using iMazing

  3. Select WhatsApp

  4. Choose only one specific contact

  5. Export text-only (no media) to:

  • TXT

  • PDF

  • CSV

🔹 Advantages:
✅ Very stable for large chats
✅ No file corruption
✅ Allows exporting a single specific contact
✅ Supports text-only export
✅ No jailbreak required
✅ Clean and readable chat structure

🔹 Disadvantages:
❌ Paid application (one-time purchase, worth it for important data)

➡️ This is the best solution for your case.

I hope this is helpful

Yes , 1 contact. I know there's some softwares out there.. But yea lets see what you all got.
Android has many options unfortunately compared to Iphone.

Are you exporting your own WhatsApp chat or a chat you legally have access to?
Also, are you looking for an official / supported method or just a more reliable workflow?
Clarifying this would help avoid misunderstandings.

My own whatsapp chat. Any method as long as its easy. A software to loadup and export to html file works too, I can't afford to do backups from the iphone and export it that way. It takes too long.

you can use thirdparty software which are made to backup and restore whatsapp chat.

As long as it’s your own WhatsApp account, these tools work without exploits or hacks. Most of them can export chats directly to HTML or PDF.

🔹 Step-by-Step Cadangan (Ringkas & Praktikal)
Option 1: Desktop WhatsApp Export Software (iPhone)

Steps:

Install a reputable WhatsApp export tool on PC/Mac

Connect iPhone via USB

Select WhatsApp → choose specific chat

Export as HTML / PDF / TXT

Done (no iCloud restore needed)

👉 Works faster than iCloud backup/restore.

Option 2: WhatsApp Built-in Export (Manual – Per Chat)

Steps:

Open WhatsApp on iPhone

Open chat → Contact Info

Tap Export Chat

Choose Without Media / With Media

Save to Files / Email / Drive

⚠️ Limitation: one chat at a time, not suitable for many chats.

Option 3: WhatsApp Web + Browser Save

Steps:

Open WhatsApp Web

Scroll chat fully (loads messages)

Use browser Save Page as HTML or print to PDF

⚠️ Not ideal for long chats but works for quick export.

Avoid any tool claiming to “hack” WhatsApp — backups and exports are sufficient if you own the account.

Speed mainly depends on chat size and whether media is included.

Alright, here's a bash at it... there are two suggestions I would make depending on your situation. but it depends on whether you care more about cleanliness or speed.

Option 1 – WhatsApp Web (clean but manual)

This method avoids WhatsApp export files entirely and gives you readable text.

Open WhatsApp Web on a desktop browser

Link the iPhone via QR code

Open the target chat

Scroll all the way to the top and wait a few seconds so the full history loads

Select the messages and copy/paste into a document or text file

Pros:
  • No ZIP files

  • No export headers

  • No system metadata

  • Very clean output

Cons:

Slow for very large or multi-year chats

Requires manual scrolling

Option 2 – iOS export + stripping (fastest for huge chats)

This is the fastest way if the conversation is years old.

On the iPhone:
Chat → Contact Info → Export Chat → Without Media

You’ll get a ZIP with a .txt file containing the full conversation.
It includes WhatsApp system lines, but those can be stripped cleanly.

Below is an actual working example. Create a python file in the same directory as the chat.txt or rename the chat.txt in the script.. whichever works best...You can call it whatever you want if clean_whatsapp.py then the following command will run it..

python clean_whatsapp.py

Code
import re

INPUT_FILE = "chat.txt"
OUTPUT_FILE = "chat_clean.txt"

system_patterns = [
r'Messages to this chat are now secured',
r'changed the subject',
r'changed this group's icon',
r'added',
r'left',
r'joined',
r'created group',
r'You deleted this message',
r'You missed a (voice|video) call',
r'‎'
]

with open(INPUT_FILE, "r", encoding="utf-8") as f:
lines = f.readlines()

cleaned = []
for line in lines:
if any(re.search(p, line) for p in system_patterns):
continue
cleaned.append(line)

with open(OUTPUT_FILE, "w", encoding="utf-8") as f:
f.writelines(cleaned)

This outputs a clean, readable text file with:

Full chat history

No system messages

No encryption notices

No media references

Summary

WhatsApp Web is best for smaller chats where you want manual control or iOS export + stripping is best for very large or long-running conversations

Both are decent options
