A new type of scam is where a scammer cultivates a long-term relationship, then convinces the victim to "invest" money in a fraudulent cryptocurrency or foreign exchange platform. The fake platform initially shows high returns to encourage more significant investments before the scammer disappears with all the funds.

Criminal organizations also now use Large Language Models (LLMs) to automate initial messages and outreach to a large number of potential targets, making the process more efficient and scalable.

Scammers use AI to analyze a victim's online behavior and emotional state, tailoring their manipulative tactics to exploit specific vulnerabilities more effectively.
It blows my mind how many people fall for this kind of stuff still

I recently had this promoted video of this guy posting his "girlfriend" and it was some model AI video saying his name that was obviously fake.

People fell for this stuff decades ago, and with AI, it plays with their delusion even more.

The romance scammers that tried to approach me online were all super bad at it. One was trying to pretend to be Eminem and didn't know Eminem has three daughters. Another was posting a photo of a super white guy in a military uniform and listed his race as "Native American" because he thought that meant a white person born in America. 😆[Because the scammer is in Ghanna or Nigeria.]

Another speaks to be one time and then tells me I need to send him money for a new car engine. Another the minute he got me off a main site says "Now you have to send me money for my rent. I can't pay my rent. Are you going to send it?" I said "No."
He says but don't you want me to be your boyfriend don't you find me attractive?" I said, "You live too far away I'm not in Nigeria." He literarily says "Oh you're too intelligent," but later tries again.

They expect this to work on the second conversation. They are so useless. Not like the ones on these shows.
Still crazy to see people still getting catfished online in this day and age

And it's often a problem for Americans who get scammed that they are so focused only on the USA that they will believe Africans that the reason their voice has an accent on the phone is because as a child they lived in France for a while and Germany for a while, and Sweden for a while so their accent is all mixed up and sounds Nigerian. Only they don't say the sounds Nigerian part. 🤣
Which one of you e-whoring guys it was? :D or was it a real girl scamming?

Look for the post in Bragging Rights that says "I made 30,000 Ewhoring. I made 30K in one week from AI Only Fans Management!

No but for real it's always a man in Nigeria on this YouTube show.
And there are a lot of people who get scammed but don’t talk about it because of shame. Honestly, I think the ones who usually fall for this are people who are generally lonely, who feel the need for love, and they end up meeting some kid from India on the internet, believing it’s the love of their life…🙄

Actually, it's usually a Nigerian with these particular scams or sometimes they're from Ghana. Indians seem to do different types of scams like ringing elderly people and telling them that they owe money on a credit card or utility bill and must pay it back by purchasing gift cards.

It's mostly Nigerians doing the romance scams and people in call centres in India scamming the elderly about pretend credit card debt etc...
I kinda feel bad for people a bit. It's getting a bit too chaotic. How did we even reached this point as society.

This stuff seems to come out of Nigeria every time. Like I've read they do the same scams in Ghana and Malaysia but on the TV and Youtube channels when they track them down it's from Nigeria often in one area that probably has a whole call centre doing them. Lagos, Nigeria it mostly is.

These type of people are completely cooked. Unless they assume everything is AI (even real women), they'll fall right into the trap which is delusion of their own mind.

It's nutty that none of these people stop and think "wait, I've never met this person". I had a cross-country relationship, but had at least hung out with her a few times.
