The suspect stole $2,716.61 worth of merchandise," according to the JSO.
The suspect is a weird looking Florida doctor reportedly arrested for stealing from a Target close to her home.
I'm not sure if the doctor is trans or not. Not saying it matters in any big way, but I just don't know the gender of this doctor. I note some articles appeared to be avoiding pronouns and one says her.
According to Action News Jax, Minshew has been a licensed medical professional practicing in the state of Florida since January 2012, citing the Florida Department of Health.
The alleged incident happened at a Target on River City Drive in Jacksonville.
Police said Minshew’s black 2024 Porsche 911 arrived in the area approximately 30 minutes before she entered the store, according to the report.
Kleptomania is such a weird thing. I VERY briefly battled it after having my first baby. I was never caught or arrested but was horrified each time it randomly happened. It's an impulse control disorder.
I didn't steal anything big I stole some kids books and toys. Like two little plastic dinosaurs one time for no real fucking reason. Stupid shit like that a total of about three times, then I worked out for myself what my triggers were and what might be provoking it psychologically from my past, and I never did it again after working it out for myself psychologically.

Lmfao. I was about to say this. Lol
They must have some mental problem if they steal for no reason.
Not every theft is a grand theft of 2700$ you gotta have the balls... or not...

But if it's a doctor it's just stupid as fuck and she's suffering from an impulse control disorder.
The days of getting away with shop lifting are over. And why are her eyebrows and lips so fucking big?

That’s wild but as op said no matter status and rank, having a disorder such as kleptomania is a real thing.

Btw. This reminds me. Are these sorts of events common in the US. Like it must be a rare occurrence. But because it's picked up by the new sensationalized like that. People think oh shit. Everything's gone to hell in the US.

Yeah we had a politician here and she was on $168,600 and she was caught on multiple CCTV cameras stealing thousands of dollars worth of designer clothes in multiple stores.
Also when Winona Ryder was stealing clothes she would rip the security tags off actually completely ruining the outfits she stole.

It’s fairly common. A cop making $200,000+ a year was arrested for petty theft because she stole a 75¢ pack of gum and other goods. It’s absurd.

It's an impulse control disorder. It's very scary. Stealing can trigger a release of dopamine, the brain's "reward" chemical. This creates a pleasurable "rush" or "high" that the person may become addicted to, leading them to repeat the behaviour to feel that sensation again.
Some psychodynamic theories propose that the disorder may be linked to early life experiences, such as neglect, abuse, or a sense of loss. Stealing may be a symbolic (unconscious) attempt to "reclaim" what was lost.

Not that it matters but do you think the doctor is trans? And the lips are lip fillers right, but how do those eyebrows happen and then is it anorexia as well?

No idea, doesn't really matter at the end of the day. Trans is less than 1% of the population, pretty much globally, give or take here or there, and like half a percent in most places in the USA.
I understand people have mixed feelings about it, but it really is a matter of 99.5% vs like 0.5% so it's not really worth feeling too strongly about a headline here and there. What are there like 15 trans athletes making headlines and millions of people in an uproar about it? It's a waste of time, energy, and resources tbh. The whole topic has been blown out of proportion imo. We can look at the % of abuse or murders that are committed by men and ignore the gender bias towards violence, but then we look at half a percent of trans and some people think it's worth our attention. If we're going off stats, there are way more indicators for violence and crime than whether someone is trans or not, so I would say it's not correlated in this specific case.
But yeah, I mean obviously their face looks a little off. Maybe a man becoming a woman, maybe a woman becoming a man, maybe a man, maybe a woman, I do not know.

I do think that TRULY trans people are less than one percent and that they have always existed in the population, and they've had a really hard time. But given how much of a political football it has become there are now many people jumping on the bandwagon and claiming to be trans due to their various other issues and a lot of young teens who tend to be confused deciding they are. Out of two sons my boyfriend has one trans who has gone "no contact" and wants to be called she and he also has two trans step daughters, non binary and a transman. There's lots of adolescents saying they are and celebrities wanting a trans child because it's trendy.
