Do you wear tailored suits in high school?

I come from the USA suburbs. We don't wear too many suit and ties in high school, but they do try to flex something else, while people like me just want to look sharp. I only dressed casual naturally, and don't like wearing latest Jordans or designer flexes. 1920's suit fashion never ran out of style. I would be shocked if society returned to that. Damn, if I could travel back in time and wear suits in high school, I would be more self impressed today and even more popular today.

Edit: I wasn't serious. Just trying to see if you kids would. lol.
when i was in school, it wasnt about the clothes or anything like that,,, it was more like which car they are driving(mustang, supra, nissan 350z,skyline and specially nissan patrol... this was the flex

Yeah, they dressed more classy in the old days. Both men and women wearing hats. I recall a recent event (unrelated to fashion) where a young guy stood out so much dress-wise that it became a media thing. He had a suit and a hat to go with it. He also "sported" a face that fitted his appearance. He could really pull off that kind of old-movie kind of look and get away with it.

Were you from a big city in a rich neighborhood?

In my town of 500k population, cars were definitely a buzz. The cars some had were economy Corollas, and some Civics if lucky lol. A friend had a Lexus IS but that was it, out of 3,000 kids.

That reminds me of when I went to a cocktail party and was the only woman wearing a cocktail dress and everyone else was in jeans and certain women were giving me kind of dirty looks because I'd lost weight and was looking pretty good, still curvy but slim curvy. But anyway it was kind of embarrassing.

I had to wear a uniform for most of high school although the last year we didn't. I was supposed to wear a tie that was part of the girls' uniform and it was an all girls' school. But I was given permission not to wear it by the principal because of a condition that made it hard for me to tie it.

Nah, you embarrassed everyone else being the only one normal. It's quite common in America, but if 30 female wore jeans at a cocktail party, it would seem odd. Never heard of cocktail dress before, but good for wedding guests.

Ah, Kuwait has more high class households per capita as a small country. Lots of oil reserves there.
I'm not in high school but I do wear tailored suits

They were jealous. You can't go wrong with a nice outfit, like a cocktail dress. I think most people, regardless of age, would like the old style of dressing to return, at least to some degree. Imagine if we all started dressing like we did in the 1920s. Romantic, romantic... lol :)
Guys, I wasn't serious about suits in school. LMAO. Ya might look like a dweeb if it doesn't "suit" you, pun intended. There was a reddit about a kid doing this, and someone said he'll get into a security job after high school is done. LOL.
Absolutely not. I rented both tuxes for prom.

I think it would be cool if sport jackets made a come back, but I just don’t see that happening outside of certain cities in the US.
I mean I wear suits on my free time, just cuz I want to look good and sharp. Which has come as a surprise to some people who has seen me only in my work wear.
Cracks me up every single time, and some even question me for using suits on my free time and the simple answer is that I just like it. Looks like me.

Please tell me you felt awkward as this guy:

I can pull off a suit too, just not traditionally. I may mix it in with sneakers and a necklace.

Funny thing is when I got my luxury bimmer, they said I should have a suit to match it. It's totally out of my league too.

I never use a tux. Only 3 piece suits, and by bimmer I assume BMW. And if so I have to say this but BMW has no luxury cars apart from 750i. Also the only actual luxury car with BMW motor is RollsRoyce. But yea I drive a Volvo V90 T8 R-Design with Maxton/Helman bodykit. But that ain't luxury either.
But what do I know. Also I would say that every man look good in a suit, with suits there is no such thing as "out of league" if you meant the suit and not the car.

When I was in school I'd be lucky if the soles of my shoes weren't disconnected and clapping with each step and my second-hand 3 years old trousers weren't passable as shorts.
