The gas fees were already nearly zero so what effect other than marketing will this have? Or is that basically the whole point?

I'd like to see Sui be the USDT/USDC blockchain of choice. Currently it's Tron for USDT.

It's really hard to say. Plenty of well suited venues never see the traction/volume/activity that they deserve. Sui will be very strongly positioned for agentic finance, but we still need the builders to come in and build on top of this infrastructure to make it a reality.

There are prices that you can't come back from. The range you're targeting would signal Sui's death, not a good buying opportunity. Sub $0.40 becomes very dangerous for Sui.

We've been down in the 0.4's and very briefly the high 0.3's before, but I wouldn't consider prices from its initial launch year, there's a lot of volatility, unlocks, lack of discovery, and other moving pieces there.

Since May 2024, Sui has only really spent a short period of time (outside of our current reality) under $1, and we dipped as low as $0.60. I recall a lot of people close to the project fearing $0.40, stating it could introduce a death spiral that is difficult to pull out from.

I agree. Seeing Sui below .6 and .3-.4 is just far fetched.

If it could recover from an outage and Cetus Dex hack before, this temp outage is nothing.

yeah I wouldn't worry much about price dumps, it can recover easily. But still, 2h from stall, I can't do a transaction or withdrawing from a vault, that really is bad news from a chain with all these usecases :(
