Yeah, I feel the same way. I think it’s a cult, in a way—a kind of religious cult, but also a cult of personality centered around Trump. I’ve seen some reports about guys of Mexican ancestry, or Latinos in general, or people whose parents are immigrants, who, despite being white or having subtle features that gave away their ancestry, were still very firm in their support for Trump. Only a few of them said something along the lines of, “We support the MAGA movement, but they’re never going to see us as equals.”

It’s sad. I grew up seeing the United States as a model country in many ways, but lately there’s been so much polarization, extremism, racism, and mass media/social media that only encourages people to become less aware of what’s going on around them.

By the way, a few days ago I saw that a guy dressed as Spider-Man got arrested for punching one of those racist influencers, hahaha. I really hope that guy gets out soon. May Almighty God bless and protect the people of the United States and the American continent. A lot of far-right leaders have been gaining ground in countries across the south lately :'3

He can't make food prices drop instantly. He made a lot of tax benefits for businesses. He bonus depreciation and research and development (R&D) expensing permanent for companies. The State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction limit temporarily rises to $40,400 for most filers through 2029 before dropping back to $10,000. He made funds for powerplants to build more plants and tax credits or putting coal plants back in service with the latest tech like to make coal burn cleaner.

I hear this often, I can see it in the job boards. However, every day I walk outside I see 18 year olds driving a lambo down a major road flooring it. I see tons of people with brand new cars, trucks, ev trucks. I see people still eating at Mcdonalds still packed. I don't see the slow downs physically.

They have made me take online exams, take in person exams and go thru a humiliation ritual and this been going on where I am at since 2007.

Some of the people you are seeing with fancy vehicles are rich people or people with higher paying jobs or kids with rich daddies, just because the economy is doing terrible under this administration doesn't mean rich people or people with higher paying jobs don't exist.

You mention McDonalds, they recently acknowledged a significant drop in customers due to low income people cutting back on eating out at fast food which is why they have been trying to push for cheaper menu items.

I have said many times on this forum that I am all for universal healthcare studies show it works and countries with universal healthcare spend less overall compared to the US as it is.

Do you want someone in your family one day who unfortunately ends up with cancer, loses their job and doesn't meet the requirements for benefits because Trump has cut those benefits and they cannot afford the treatment they need to survive and they end up dying from what was treatable? this happens all of the time in the USA.

Does universal healthcare have some challenges in other countries that would need to be worked out if implemented in the USA, yes but the issues are waiting periods for non-urgent procedures.

People deserve healthcare without the fear of losing everything they own or dying because they cannot get it.

Also the next election is likely to come down to Gavin Newsom or Andy Beshear, but if it comes down to AOC or a Trump MAGA puppet I would vote for AOC without hesitation, Id rather see someone like Andy win though.
