I noticed someone on the internet is obsessed with my Grandpa.

My grandfather who died a long time ago was a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. Commissioned as a captain in the Army Air Forces , he served as a Command Classification Officer, personnel consultant, and Chief of the Air Force Demobilization Procedures section and he was a distinguished university professor in Ohio as well.

I have stumbled on the fact that some random woman online is obsessed with him and writing blogs saying she thinks my grandpa was secretly working with the CIA and one of his 1000s of students went mysteriously missing and she thinks he was involved and did something with the student because he was helping the CIA. 🤔🤯
No way lmao.. have you contacted her at all?

I probably shouldn't have but yeah I have contacted her. She said she gets all kinds of people trying to catfish her so she didn't believe I was his granddaughter at first.

But one of her conspiracies was that it was SO weird that my grandpa and grandma moved from Ohio to California. "Why would they do that? They didn't know anyone there. They didn't have any family there. Blah blah."

I said "His wife, my grandma, had brothers who'd already moved there.

My grandpa was probably trying to protect her by moving near her brothers because he was several years older than her."

Then she was like "Oh yeah I found that out but didn't put that on my blog yet, so I guess you are his granddaughter," as I knew about a patent my great uncles had that made them wealthy too.

And then when she said they had no family there she started talking about the US state my mum and dad were in where they lived at the time that was freaky to read she knew that as well because she was correct. I say mum not mom because they moved me to another country when I was two so I mostly didn't grow up in the USA but we went back and forth for holidays and such.

Must suck to be dealing with obsessive conspiracy theorists.

It's so bizarre and kind of hurtful. She's trying to turn him into a villain and saying he might have something to do with a student randomly disappearing, but her conspiracy that the reason the student disappeared from his family and everyone is because my grandpa got the student to come do work for the CIA, although that isn't clear in anything but the one blog where she specifically says that.

It was back in the days when people used to go train hopping or freight hopping which is very dangerous. And they didn't have good systems for tracking people from one state to another or possibly even from one part of Ohio to another.

A different woman claims that that student came knocking on her door in a rural area miles from the university. I think if that student was freight hopping.....a number of people died doing that because it's physically very dangerous, but young men were encouraged to do it as a fun adventure, so I think if he was doing that and ended up in a different state or possibly even city maybe no one could idenitify his body far away from home. He didn't take his wallet or anything but that kind of adventure was promoted by people like Jack Kerouac.

It's weird though because the student disappeared without even taking his coat or wallet. My grandpa was apparently his psychology professor, but the student had dropped psychology from his schedule two months prior.

Oh also the student was being bullied by other students from a different dormitory than his.

That is very terrible I’m truly sorry someone is spending their time to dishonor your grandpa’s memory hopefully she seeks mental help.

If someone googles my grandpa now there's all these links to her blog when like he was kind of an Air Force hero being really high up in the airforce and a prestigious academic that was an expert in certain fields and this woman is making it about how he's bad because he helped the CIA and maybe he did, but if he did it was out of patriotism. I remember he was a patriot and he was upset that my mother hadn't told me more about his being in the Air Force.

This conspiracy theorist made me have flashbacks to a couple of conversations I had with my grandpa when I was only five. I lived in another country but he sent tickets to us to go to California and he took me to Disneyland twice and also to Knotsberry Farm once right before he died because he kind of knew he was going to die and he kept his chest pain secret because he just wanted to spend time with his only grandchild old enough to talk which was me and to die on his own terms not in a hospital but going to amusement parks with his five year old granddaughter. 😊

He was a patriot and if the CIA wanted his help then he would have given it I guess, but it's all speculation.
That's a crazy story.

My recommendation is don't get involved further. You won't be able to bring any logic to the table with these kinds of people. You either press charges for defamation or leave her be in her own world.

Or publish your story online and just destroy her SEO lol

Some people have very vivid imaginations... Sometimes we need to rein in our thoughts and imagination before we end up going crazy. 😂
