Normal members to 50 PMs? Nope, regulars wan't 200+ PMs.
Just let it this to Omni, he will take care of everything.
Ub3r limits are 2,500 my friend.

Normal members don't deserve 200 PM's, did they pay for the privilege?
You should get people to moderate a little heavier and get rid of all the shit posts, begging for free shit, etc.... theres a ton of those posts
Why not ban that user hfbud or w/e, the error says hes the one causing it!

Kidding, but yeah this site is growing to be huge as fuck, cant do no harm.

Exactly maybe if we limited the HF sig size to 600x150 and reduce the avatar size and stuff and delete all of the junked threads and posts and delete all the inactive users with under 200 posts and aint been active for a year it would speed HF up :).
I have a solution to all of this. Delete The Lounge. The Lounge causes around 50% of my reports, probably the same with others too. It's rare that I see a meaningful thread in there too. It wouldn't affect the forum a lot, apart from the Lounge count would disappear from profiles, and we'd loose 1 million posts from the total Hack Forums post count, but that doesn't really matter.

People will think I'm messing around, but I'm really not. This is a valid solution.
that sounds pretty nice You need cloud hosting but that cost some money :x
I like when I get private messages. When I see the green pop up on my screen I get excited and wonder who it's from and what they want. Am I lame or does anyone else get a similar feeling? Speaking of which... time to delete 750 PM's. Woohoo.

The lounge is HF. Lounge is what HF gets there name from. So I agree. All the trolls and the fags are in this section. Gives HF a real bad name.

I'll see how the next week or two goes but a new setup shouldn't be too hard as I only run MySQL on it and it's on the local loop.

Sorry that I'm turning off the site but I'm trying to adjust MySQL and clear up these locks.
Ahhh sweet. So you'll have two servers mirroring each other. mybb writes to the master server and reads from the slave?
Tbh a salve server would be better maybe we could tighten the security on the MYSQL servers?

I would have to totally disagree with that. The bigger inbox was one of the reasons I upgraded. Also when I was a normal member 100 PM's was used up very quickly.
HF, going to be down :(
I'm going to have to get a life for a while.
Travel "outside"
I'm scared.

You'd still have good space, it'd only be halved.. 🙂
